I first heard of this guy because he would show up on my Facebook feed a lot due to his summarizing app (i think?). We had mutual friends, though I never actually knew him. He went to a high school near mine and now he's doing insane stuff like this. Tanay is an inspiration!

This came at the best time now that I am applying for YC W24. My startup came about precisely because of all the things Tanay mentioned, but for a specific healthcare sector. It was quite inspiring to see the story behind their success. Thank you Garry

What are you focusing on in healthcare? Private practitioners?

As a Canadian, the system you describe sounds totally foreign. I'm used to the government imposing fixed prices for GP's, so I guess that's similar. With whisper and llama or mistral it should be possible to ensure confidentiality for transcriptions of private doctor appointments.

I'm a dentist who hates how inefficient our software is. It could be improved Soo easily it's just nuts. The future golden era is near, thanks to your company. Let's get it! Need an office to test things out? 😂

Thank you and agreed! Improving the dental stack is one of our focus points. Happy to talk more about it.

What pain points do you see with the current dentist software
@toofy7253
@toofy7253 10 ай бұрын
@@blascerecer usually dentists have dirty gloves on and can't manually input treatment, checking patients out etc. I have a wish list, but a lot of it revolves around being able to talk to the software so that the software doesn't need me to tell another person to input what I say. Too many errors happen like every day, and errors are frustrating in this setting. Having to double check things isn't great because it's at another time, usually hours after communicating. The software should understand what X-rays I want to view from a quick verbal command and be able to write the referral slips etc on command. Otherwise, it's a lot of inputs to get the outputs. Never ending and we hate it

Pretty cool, I went to the same high school as him even though he was a couple classes ahead of me (in my brother's class). A bunch of my classmates are currently working with him at Athelas. I'm in medical school route right now but in another life I'd probably go work for this guy. Can't wait to see how big this company gets!

Transcription and summarization models are not close to perfect. What’s the contingency plan for when a botched translation leads to misdiagnosis or malpractice?
@allennikka4140

Presumably the physician still would still review the notes, the scribe tool described is just a way to speed up that process, not completely replace the agency of the physician or NP taking a patient history etc.

@@allennikka4140 if I had to correct the summaries as often as I have to correct siri (and with far greater consequences for a missed correction), I’m not sure I’d be a willing customer

Hi Garry how do you know or how can a founder know whether his idea is already been made by other people or is already existing not just being marketed. Does YC ever made that kind of mistake and how do you avoid it
