When Ryan Millsap arrived in Atlanta from California a decade ago, the real estate investor set his sights on becoming a major player in Georgia’s booming film industry. In just a few years, he achieved that, opening a movie studio that attracted big-budget productions like “Venom,” Marvel’s alien villain, and “Lovecraft Country,” HBO’s fictional drama centered on the racial terror of Jim Crow America.
As he rose to prominence, Millsap cultivated important relationships with Black leaders and Jewish colleagues and won accolades for his commitment to diversity. But allegations brought by his former attorney present a starkly different picture. In private conversations, court documents allege, Millsap expressed racist and antisemitic views.

That apology is way too little, too late.

This is a classic " I'm sorry we got caught" thus a non-apology.

This reminds me of the part in the song "backstabbers" when they say "they smile in your face" I can see them with big ole bright smiles when they need a service from someone in the black community. 😁

how can you refer to another human being in such as despicable way? Racism has three ingredients: ignorance, self-contempt, and arrogance.

Some so called racism is an awareness of statistics and experience of the culture in question.

Missal is such a reprehensible freak that he thinks all he has to do is call the people he secretly hates “dear friends,” and he thinks that will help, that they’ll say, “Oh, that’s OK, bro….we know you didn’t mean it.” If he was an honest “man,” he’d say, “Yeah, that’s who I am. Maybe I’ll try to work on that, maybe I won’t.” At least that would be honest.

Where's the reaction from the Black film leaders that worked with him. Seems they are all silent, and will probably still work with him. 😥

I can't stand Kevin Hart or The Rock. In fact The Rock is not funny when he kids all the time about eating babies. Especially when the concert last year when there was an infant crowd surfed up to him on stage like a sacrifice it was really creepy and weird. I find both of these men to be very suspicious

Still not sure why these text messages got used as evidence in a suit between Millsap and his attoney...?

ProPublica really needs to hire a script writer and video editor. You do some of the most thorough investigative journalism in the US, but your video content game is seriously lacking.

I'd prefer the actual work they accomplish revealing atrocities around and over us citizens than a streamlined vid alerting us to read their journalism any day!
