This song is over 30 years old. I remember when I was just a kid and ease dropped to my older brother playing this cassette. Constant high energy and lyrical bravado. Busta had a cadence I had never heard and Tip had the coolest voice. This is when I fell in love with hip hop.

Even Tribe and Brand Nubian's track together was hella tight. But It was something about this track and video that both felt like magic at the time. This is all my opinion of course.

i've always been a rock head, specifically the 90s alternative stuff or skate punk but with De La Soul about to come out with all their stuff i started listening to Tribe, and Busta Rhymes absolutely owned his part of the song, i started listening to his own stuff and nothing has caught me nearly as much as this verse and you can even see in the video after he was done, he knew, he fucking knew he had the best part of the song that people would talk about for years afterwards, fantastic verse on a song that would've been really good otherwise, it just put the song over the top

I still like to listen to mid nineties hip hop specially ‘93 but this is an absolute gem. I saw Busta the first time in this video and man was that a hit , he blew up. This was Busta Rhymes' coming out party. It almost seems predestined the way Q-Tip rolled out the red carpet for him by setting him up for the last verse... "So here's Busta Rhymes with the scenario." Then he proceeds to rip it, delivering the verse and a style that catapulted him to superstardom.

Plus currently, we have had great rappers, in many different ways, both dead and alive. Big Pun? Kendrick? Vince Staples? RTJ? That's just to name a few from the past 16 years that are more well known, there are plenty of other less known artists, even ones that aren't fully underground .
