Escharum definitely deserves his own comic series. Show him and his role in the Covenant, him mentoring Atriox, his role in the Banished earlier on, him creating and meeting the future Hand of Atriox members, his friendship with Jega, etc.

Damn, imagine if The Rise of Atriox was 6 issues, the first issue could've been about Escharum mentoring Atriox. Then Escharum would appear in the other issues as well.

@Late Night Gaming As you can see from the video at 3:36, humans are in the Banished! It's also covered in the books. It's worth mentioning in your Banished videos so people stop seeing them as just another generic Covenant or just aliens against humanity.

I want to say probably not since they’re restricted by the T rating, but the Horizon trilogy on PlayStation has human opponents and still keeps a T rating, so who knows. Personally, I really hope we do get Banished human opponents someday. I get why we didn’t see them in Infinite’s base game since Escharum hates them, but with Atriox undoubtedly about to retake his place as the Banished leader, I’m really excited to see how the Banished are emboldened.

According to the books, there are currently five humans in the Banished. They are a team of ONI spies. Four young Spartans and a Mary Sue detective.

They were, up until cortana 'sploded doisac. Atriox isn't feeling too charitable towards them anymore.

It's even less normal for Elites and Brutes to even work together at all after the Great Schism.

The Banished were formed 3 years before the Great Schism. Even then, there might've already been Sangheili who didn't hate the Jiralhanae at all and vice versa (Escharum and Atriox are two really good examples). I would even say that Jega 'Rdomnai joined the Banished way before the Schism even began. Also, Atriox never despised humans. He saw that they were stronger and braver than how the Prophets claimed them to be.

@@WhyTho525 Good points. In the end it makes me wonder if Atriox will truly be the end game protagonist or an ally. As it stands it feels more like the new group (won't spoil anything in case someone who hasn't played reads this) are the main bads.

@@WhyTho525 The Endless are a truly interesting group. There are several reasons why I am utterly convinced they are the Precursors and that is also my gut feeling but, at the same time, it would equally make sense if they weren't. Physically they don't exactly appear like the books claimed but that was also based on the "Last Precursor" who was mutated by that point so who the hell knows. But to my point and long story short, if they are indeed the Precursors then it would make a hell of a lot of sense for the Banished and Humanity to team up as the Precursors obvious next move would be to release the Flood. Another sidenote is that this particular station was ground zero during the war and we know for an absolute fact that the Last Precursor was there. If we consider that the two monitors are male and female that would also raise my theory that they are Riser and Vinnevra who we know were damaged in the Palace of Pain along with Chakas during the ancient events. Chakas we know for a fact become Spark so that leaves a man and a woman on this ring and a man and a woman monitor we see later. Sorry for ramble, just some theories in my head I haven't written down yet that seemed plausible to me.

Because the real main bad guy in infinite is Escharum then the harbinger.

The Halos were used to reseed many species, maybe Atriox knows that Zeta halo reseeded the brutes.

Making games is infinitely hard. Sometimes cutting something means solving a crash or some other problem. A pity this huge chumk of story got cut, but it is what it is

It’s still canon. The most recent novel (Halo: Divine Wind) reinforced it. It’s just Escharum that despises humans.

It's just Escharum who doesn't allow humans under his command. Atriox blames Doisac's end on Cortana and the UNSC who failed to contain her. Not ALL of humanity, and even after capturing her, he didn't seek her death immediately. Atriox wanted Cortana to give him what he needed to secure a new home for his people and a future for the Banished.

@@crazy13alex Although that begs the question, why does Escharum hate humans? Is it because he lost many of his pupils to them during the Human-Covenant War before Atriox began to rebel? Is it because he blamed Humanity for the creation of Cortana? I would expect him to hate humans, but still employing them within the Banished out of his respect for Atriox and honoring his legacy.

Yeah, I've seen some cut concept art which shows tidbits of citizen life under Cortana's heel. What they should've done is to set Halo Infinite into two different stories: Part I would begin where Halo 5 left off. Mixing the stories of New Blood, Shadows of Reach and some of the Infinite audio log plotlines into one big game. The story ends with Chief returning to the Infinity from Zeta Halo after installing the Weapon to deal with Cortana, then the Banished fleet attacks the Infinity. Lasky and others get off the ship in time while Chief buys them time for them to evacuate the ship, ending the story with the fight between Atriox and Chief, with Chief ending up in space and being found by Fernando Esparza 6 months later. Part II will be the same as the base Infinite game with some changes. We get more Banished cutscenes (like Hyperius fighting Locke and killing him, taking helmet as a trophy, having flashbacks of Escharum mentoring Atriox, ect.) for us to understand their hierarchy and ideologies more, even having Banished humans to fight against as enemies (maybe Escharum keeps them out of his respect for Atriox's will). Also having the Arbiter and the Swords of Sangheilios as allies, because we've been missing them since forever. Also having the Arbiter as a coop playable character, reintroducing playable elites in mulitplayer. Drones and Engineers would also be added into the Banished ranks, while some Engineers could also serve as allies. A

@@adriansmith31 Yeah, they plan to not really bother with that storyline and in a way I am glad and I understand why they made this decision. But tbh, I would enjoy Infinite far more if they explained how the Banished managed to defeat the UNSC forces on Zeta Halo. Also returning to Reach in-game would've been spectacular. Like imagine the Shadows of Reach story in-game, having you play as the Master Chief being accompanied by Blue Team, Arbiter, Usze 'Taham (red playabe elite in 4-way coop from Halo 3), N'tho Sraom (blue playable elite in 3-way coop from Halo 3) and Rtas 'Vadum. Imagine the Arbiter having lines and dialogues about his guilt and remorse for the destruction on Reach, as he was the Supreme Commander partly responsible for the loss of the planet, many Spartans and human lives. Imagine getting to fight the Banished for the first time in-game on Reach, but also fighting against Prometheans and Keepers of the One Freedom (let's say that in this alternative timeline they didn't join the Banished, but instead joined Cortana viewing her as god due to their religious beliefs).

@@WhyTho525 the upcoming book the Rubicon protocol will likely explain how the banished defeated the unsc. Hopefully we will get some dlc that involves the arbiter and other Spartans from halo 5.
