Appreciate the details! My girlfriend is opening her own bakery and the space doesn't currently have them installed. Besides the safety aspect, there's also the use of having a water tight seal. It sucks having to refill the pre-soak and sanitizer sinks all the time because the plugs don't fit great. These solve that issue

Great explanation of the two valves. Helped me choose the ball valve over the other. Put 3 in today an they work very well. Thanks!

P ONeill fantastic! Thanks for your input. The video product reviews are still a new thing for us, so I really do appreciate it. The real benefit to the fisher drains will show itself after long term use when you won’t have to fix them as often. -Tim

This video rocked my world. Basically enabled me to save my employer 200-800 dollars hiring a plumber, and let me earn more than a days wages (including tips on a good night) in 30 minutes. I win.

What kind of drain basket do you use for a stainless commercial sink that has no recess for the basket flange? The sink bottom is flat, with a short "neck" flange underneath the sink.

With the shape opening in the bottom of the pop it Is there a certain way the pop goes into the drain for it to work properly

Either direction.

Where can I get that tool? The one that fits between the notches and locks the flange in place?

At my work the drain does not open enough lots of rice have to put my finger in there to open it stoped up all day nasty..what can i do we never fill the sink its for draining only..
@atshelp4 жыл бұрын
Randolph Ramirez Randolph Ramirez different strainer options. It might be best to put a mesh strainer there to catch everything. Better food practices about scraping before it gets to the sink. And then sometimes depending on where you are, commercial disposers.

If i take out the stoper can the drain still work..
@atshelp4 жыл бұрын
Randolph Ramirez , if you remove it, it would just become a free flow drain. You’d have to leave the handle there. But the other issue is now you’re sending everything down the drain and now it’s just creating an entirely different issue. Unfortunately this is less of a plumbing issue that you’re having and more of a training the kitchen staff what’s appropriate to send into the sinks and down the drains. Without fixing that main issue, you are going to have worse problems needing your waste lines snaked and jetted. What might seem like a good immediate idea is actually just creating a worse problem in the end. There’s a lot of expensive options that catch debris down the line (waste traps or interceptors) but those need constant cleaning and maintenance as well. So the real answer isn’t how to I keep the drain from clogging. But how to not clog it to begin with. Doing that will drastically reduce visits from the plumber to band aid what the real issues are.

I have a question hoping you could help. I bought a stainless commercial sink for my garage at auction. Cannot figure out what type of drain this is, there seems to be a stub pipe welded to the bottom, about 3" in diameter and about 6" long, no threads or anything either. How does this type connect to a drain? Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
@atshelp5 жыл бұрын
wreckingballpi Might be a po plug. Or all thread drain. Usually 1” or 1 1/4” in size.
@elmagicocustoms5 жыл бұрын
@@atshelp its bigger than that. I'm browsing your web catalog... could it be a floor sink?

Putty and or silicone not needed.... It does nothing for the seal..
@atshelp6 жыл бұрын
Vaticider69 it’s one of those strange things. Putty never creates a seal, it’s used to fill gaps. There is nothing about the nature of putty that is waterproof or water tight. Seal might be misleading but I would recommend filling the gap. Some sink bevels are more severe than others. And over time, especially when these drains get beat up over long periods of time, I like to think of the silicone as a good back up if or when the nut gets loose underneath. Levers get bumped, drains turn out of place. Extra protection is never a bad thing.
@Vaticider696 жыл бұрын
Good point on the wording of it.... The brand we use ....escapes me atm... but the top threads are so shallow putty was too frustrating silicone messy...but good for keeping food debris from penetrating and rotting in there..
