Tim they make a t and a insert / key for those drains. But you seem old school and use channelocks lol

In any state I Work the code changed you cannot connect the drains together if you have one of the sinks being a clean sink, its a cross connection that is illegal in any restaurant. and the air gap is 2-1/2 times the diameter of the discharge pipe.

5:03 Great job! Only question is how did the dishwasher pull out the grills and filters out of the drain after you placed it so far down into the pit? Did you have to go back and cut it out to let the drains out or are they split grills? Those guys have to pull out the grills and drain filters to clean them at least every few days. Did they just figure they should clean it while it's hanging off the drain pipes? Regardless of my questioning, your work is at least 10 times better than the set up we have at my jobsite...

Did you use a smaller pvc to fit in the drain pipe?

Tim, I want purchase the new drains for my shop, I see there are 3”& 3.5”, how would I know what to purchase? Is there a measurement that I can take on my existing think? Thank you.

Just a novice interested in plumbing, I thought code doesn't allow sanitary tees on their back like the two outermost sinks? I'm guessing the sinks themselves act as a vent and the pipe into the drain grate is air gapped. Anyway, saw a triple sink setup today with one additional sink draining in from each side of it (5 sinks total) - all done with sanitees like this so I guess this the norm. And all 5 sinks were plumbed in 1.5" ABS which can't possibly be big enough.

It's supposed to be indirect waste which mean ur discharge line should have an air gap at the top plate not Recessed inside the Floor Drain

What inch pipe did you use on the drain?

If the threads were no good in top of drain, why was it still holding. Forget your key

Rookie here asking a question. Does it need a vent or is it so close to an entry or drain it doesn't?

That is not code it has to drain individually and have to be 1 inch above the in ground drain to avoid cross contamination.

No air gap? That's a big no no.

Tee ABS? Why?

I believe in ohio that requires a 4inch air gap
