They didnt mention it but Ramzi (the little boy) didnt actually understand what Eren was saying to him because they speak different languages. Eren confessed to him anyway, but Ramzi was just confused because this random man took him home then started crying lol.

I'm still amazed. Now I don't see how anyone can criticize MAPPA or SNK. Even those who don't like the basic manga. The episode was one of the greatest episodes of japanimation. It will mark anime history. Seriously. And then, it will complain because MAPPA want to take their time ? You have to wait to have episodes of this quality ! You see.

Im with Rob for once in my life. I think having the two parts in shorter pieces rather than a full movie lets us appreciate it more. Theres *alot* to digest in this episode and I think it wouldve been too overwhelming to have another hour and a half to go.

@@RCX_OnTop "why does there have to be such a long wait?" is ridiculous. y'all can't wait??? if I'm just waiting just few months for the next part, then, as someone who watch anime i'm def lucky. the season 2 literally came out for four years (if i'm not mistaken) and people seems to be demanding it to come faster to the point that they can sacrifice a good animation. as well, it might be the best to serve the best at last. they probably working on some scenes since knowing MAPPA, they have a lot of anime project this year and even last year.

To the skeptical one in the center : Hange has always been extremely strong*. She was 3rd after Miche when he was alive, but afterwards she absolutely is the second strongest soldier after Levi (and Mikasa obviously). (she has the most titan killed record after Levi). That makes her the strongest non-Ackerman fighter.

@@bf3isbestbf359 Yes I believe he was told to be second to Levi, but since he died fairly quickly and Hange achieved a lot after Miche's death, I think it's fair to say that she is indeed the strongest after Levi. (so technically not "always" has been the second strongest, she basically broke Miche's record after he died). She however was one of the few Survey Corps soldiers to have survived the longest. She was in the survey corps before Levi (probably joined at the same time as Erwin and Miche) and she therefore lived for the longest technically. I mean no hate to Miche but poor guy didn't last long.

Tbf miche was in the scouts as long as erwin i’m pretty sure, so the amount of off-screen kills he has is likely quite high. Whether Hange has as many or achieved as many is unknown, but miche was around for a fair while, it’s just most of the time he was part of the scouts was before the series

Best episode of AOT man what a ride it’s been. Can’t believe it’s almost over. This series was revolutionary and got so many people into the anime genre as a whole, including myself. AOT will go down as one of the shows that defines this generation. Attack on Titan is one of the best shows ever created and I am so glad MAPPA gave the source material the animation it deserved. Awesome reaction too by the way I basically followed this series with y’all. Can’t believe it’s almost over

Honestly the saddest part about Hange's death for me was how she felt so cool sacrificing herself, and she knew how cool Levi was and asked him to honor her last wish to NOT ruin her shining cool moment... Seeing Levi saddened by losing Hange made the moment even more heartbreaking. LOVE THIS SHOW

This show is a masterpiece. I'd say on the level of Breaking Bad. The rumbling scenes in this episode made me feel all sorts of dread that I can't describe. And Hange's death was so gut-punching, yet perfect.

Fun fact: the "See you later, Eren" scene actually happened in chapter 1 of the manga but WIT decided to replace it with different scenes. I'm so happy Mappa added it in.

The rumbling scenes were masterfully animated and highlights the disturbing nature behind Eren and his motivations. The rumbling will save Paradis but to him it was always more than that as he says in his breakdown to Ramzi “when I learned humanity existed beyond the walls I was so disappointed so I wanted to wipe away everything”. Ramzi and Halil were trampled not to save Paradis but because Eren was taking back his freedom he felt was stolen from him by the world which is why the freedom scene hits so hard because to his childlike dreams the devastation he is causing is freedom 😢

For me the saddest part of this episode of the two sibling kid's death. Maybe it's because my family too were once refugees who escaped from a war torn country. Imagine losing your hand at such an young age cause of stealing pennies cause you just wanna survive and then losing your life so horribly right after seeing your younger sibling dying. This anime is so tragic yet so beautifully portrays the story of human cruelty, suffering, loss.

No it isn’t. The show didn’t include the “See you later line” which is why it’s been retconned in. It’s a weird choice though because it won’t really have any impact on show watchers since it wasn’t there at the start.

As someone who been skeptical of mappa animation so far, this episode was done to the upmost perfection. The soundtracks and animation was perfect. The part where it showed armin ear ringing then he jumps out. Chefs kiss

Hange was in the survey corps longer than Levi and she survived countless missions outside the walls. This proves her skill and bravery. Why anyone would think she isn't capable is beyond me.

That hange scene was on par with the odm animation in that levi chase scene. This is the best adapted episode of AOT I’ve ever scene in pretty much all aspects

The moment when everyone at the fort thinks it's over then the paradise forces show up in the plane literally gave me chills when I first read it in the manga. Mappa did it EVEN BETTER than I could have imagined. That was such a heroic entrance and the irony that the devils they always condemned were the ones there in the end to try and save them hits deep. Team Alliance all the way! note: My favorite thing about this story is that it's a commentary on war, propaganda and racism. It literally takes the worst possible outcome for everyone to start to come to the realization that it was their own fault and that Racism is wrong and that the key to world peace is mutual respect. Such simple lessons so lost on the world. Isayama takes all of this from our experiences and creates his own version of it to teach these lessons in such a profound way. It's a masterpiece!

Maaaaaan *Levi is the most one tortured, agonised, & have it rough in this whole series* .. & to think despite all that we never heard him say things like ( i want to die ) or any negative emotions like anyone would. *Btw very important detail to remember* , he never wanted any of this , to join the corps , save humanity,or be a warrior , unlike other ppl like Erwin & Hanji who have purposes & goals about the whole thing. *I still remember a sentence the voice actor of Levi ones said* , he said he never liked the nickname ( *humanity strongest soldier* ) , it's just a whole amount of burden & responsibility, it's like u owe ppl , it's like u don't have a choice, it's like u don't get to choose wt u want or do wt ur heart wants, it's like for forever u should be there for the benefits of other ppl , its like there's no one else , it's unfair to have a nickname like this .

Note that Hange was initially (after the first thunter spear and after she entered close contact cutting mode) calmly doing the smart thing by staying low and going for their legs and cutting ankles just to delay them, as the titans' steam only went upwards from them and staying lower and closer to the ground was relatively safe. They showed her going in and out of steam and making brief stops where there were no obvious steam. When she found out delaying them wasn't sufficient (there was a split second close up on her face showing that she noticed), she got desperate and went yelling for the titans' necks to kill the titans that were getting dangerously close, knowing that the titans' steams would finish her as well. Then she noticed that she was on fire but didn't care and charged in again for her end.

Floch who I thought will turn out to be just another useless side character turned out to be one of the most bravest hero of all. Easily one of the best written characters in aot and thanks to mappa for animating his death scene beautifully
