With other languages with every word you click on it says the pronunciation. It makes me sad as a novice that it doesn’t do that for the Irish words 😢

Bhí sé sin iontach! If you press the little keyboard on the bottom of the screen you can type words instead of clicking on the word bubbles. That helps me remember how to spell things. GRMA for the video!

Hearing you pronounce the words in Duolingo helps.

The DuoLingo Irish voice seems to be Connemara Irish too, which Is lovely but that's not my dialect (I;m from Munster, Waterford specifically so Gaeltacht na nDéise would have a different twang to their Irish

Definitely agree that it’s great to hear you pronounce the words as that “feature” isn’t as robust in the Irish Duolingo course as it is for some of their other ones. Go raibh maith agat for sharing this lesson with us!

I have started learning Irish in Duolingo, as well. My mother tongue is English, but I also speak German that I learned in highschool & Uni. I hope to at least become conversant, and also be able to pronounce words properly!
