I had a character live past a hundred, and all her children died before her so it fucked up the succession because it wouldn't let me elect an heir since no children were left, and I ended up have to kill a few grandkids and change succession laws so I could have the right heir

19:00 you can set up an election for the main title, then remove it or get another same rank title and switch the primary title back and forth, this gets rid off the grandson being the heir, as it can't choose your dead son anymore. if you delete it, it costs quite a bit of prestige, but you can marry for prestige, then divorce, then marry again, in tribal with no cost is a huge exploit, for 100 piety is more like a feature :P it also fills up your court with ladies. but this early, since you are just a duke, setting up an election for the duchy is a good move. 1500 for scandinavian election. for each county held you get a vote, so it's easy to win it. now when you set the election the heir becomes the voted person. now all you gotta do is get another duchy and switch primary title. works with 2 kingdoms or 2 empires too. this resets the main heir to your sons, and not grandsons. when you only have a kingdom you gotta destroy it if can't get 2, but when you got double titles, just gotta switch. also this is almost like the primogeniture, since the duchy is going for the voted person, and your primary goes to the heir, your other sons won't get anything. not sure if it's a bug, but you gotta hold the entire duchy, all counties, or it will give the counties to the other sons like normally (tested in a 6 county, duchy of Kiev/Konugardr). but if you hold all counties, and it's voting, then the first goes to first son, second to second, voted duchy to the voted person and the other sons can only get counties outside any duchy. so technically not primo but only 2 sons inherit. You can do it for 2 duchies too but it's hard to hold more than 7 titles if they aren't steward. And the election stays forever, even if you swap cultures after or the AI takes over it. Elective from decision for your highest title/entire thing is bad. The inheritance stays the same, the primary heir gets the capital and most of the Man at arms, so if you ever happen to not vote on your first son, then he will have a different court, less troops and different capital if landed. btw the dwarves and giants aren't like the main traits (quick, hale, comely) as they don't stack and considered a negative trait, so when you supposed to be lucky they will fall out. there is no higher chance for 2 giants having a giant son or two dwarves having a dwarf. also it doesn't add together or consider the grandparents I think. the albino trait is more likely for daughters. I tested it and my giant knights had random kids with giants and with normal woman too. the AI does some normalizing, marries giants to dwarfs, so it does counter each other. same for black guys, sometimes marries them to albinos so their pigment becomes normal if the culture is white. but there is indeed a hidden height stat, so someone can be tall without being a giant or short and not a dwarf (also ugly without having the ugly trait as they look like their parents). So using this trick I was choosing tiny asian ladies to my fat kings and it indeed got rid of the constant obesity running in the family.

Lol I did something similar but with hunchback, I just increased my diplomatic range by taking islands and cucked everyone else while kidnapping or killing the heirs that didn't get hunchback trait. if you have numerous lovers in a court you have lots of scheme allies, you just have to avoid including the mother of the victim...
