500 lbs wheelers don’t drag 1200 lbs logs too well. Tears up the clutch and trans. The log plows and makes a mess of the forrest floor meanwhile getting covered in dirt and that’s really hard on our sawmill blades.

@@tickcreekranch I know keeping it simple is better, but if you were to have a powder coated the frame. and maybe add a couple features that allow you to chop some thing with an ax by hand…… Something like that. those are some pretty good ideas too. I’m sure you’ve already thought of all this anyway. You should takeoff with this though a lot of people don’t have welders and even the average person with 3 acres of property, or even tree trimmers would definitely use this thing.
@tickcreekranch
@tickcreekranch Жыл бұрын
@@Daniel-fe1uj I had planned on something to hold a peavey but, I personally would probably keep the axe on the wheeler. I kinda baby my cutting tools but, still a great option. Many improvements to be made for sure. I’m a big believer that there is always a better idea out there, and I’m always looking. Before I ever considered selling something I’d make sure it has been tested well and proven. I wouldn’t market this one the way it’s built. It’s too light to sell to folks that have to “test the warranty”. I would ad additional lateral bracing among a few other things. As to the finish, I like rust with boiled linseed applied. Old school way of protecting steel and I like the look and simplicity. Thanks Daniel
