I think it's pretty important to note that new covers usually have all sorts of creases in them and it helps to work in a warm space and keep the cover warm with a hair dryer while working.

Yes Joshua, very true. If some one should try that be vary careful not to apply to much heat with the hair dryer. The safest bet in my opinion is to let the creases work themselves out in the sun. But having a warm space to work in and letting the vinyl warm up to room temperature is very helpful.

@@mjamsdenfurniture I only say that from experience today. I've done in my warm shop dozens of times. Bit today I was In my trailer workshop that was about 5 degrees and the hair dryer made a huge difference.

I'm watching this video and wondering if I could replace my bike seat with an ATV seat. Looks like it would be a lot more comfortable

Nice video, but you should have had more light, it is hard to see the front of the seat when you have your hands are there. What size staples did you use, 1/4", 5/16"? Thanks for the great information though.

He says what size staples to use 1/8

Why can't the old cover remain in place? That's a lot of work to remove a couple hundred staples. Otherwise, love the video.

Because it would show through and look like, well you know.

Looks good except the foam repair you can see through the vinyl. I would have done a better job on the foam repair.

Ive heard putting quilting batting between foam and cover will hide imperfections and make smooth. Maybe the original poster can comment on this
