@pershot7 They are close in power. I prefer the a-arm suspension on the Kodiak and much prefer the 4wd system that includes a front locker rather than a limited slip dif.

@ATVTVCOM If you had a choice between the yamaha kodiak 450 can am 400 and the kawasaki prairie 650 v-twin which would you perfer.

Is the bombarider 400 2004 model stronger and faster then the yamaha kodiak and which atv do you think is better.

@Derek130b Honda 'used to be" number one in many areas of ATV sales. The magic words here are 'used to be' though!

@Derek130b Go look at some of the mudding sites - they know a whole lot more about mudding than we do. We did just recently test the Arctic Cat Mud Pro - Awesome mudder right off of the showroom floor!

@julian0048 New? I'd look at the Suzuki King Quad 400. Or maybe the Grizzly 400.

@Derek130b Derek! We've told you before that we NEVER measure top speeds and seldom drag race one machine against another. That is not our thing!

@johndeeretech09 I disagree. While the frame material used on the center spar is too soft, it is a great design and can be fixed with a set of good aluminum skidplates. The rear suspension is absolutely the best system on any ATV, bar none! There is no scrub and no caster gain or change. It also is built to reflect back on travel - something a-arms must be 'rolled' to accomplish and then develop other problems.

@Derek130b That all depends on what size? This wouldn't be the best choice for a mudder!

@MrLngboarder Actually you can't clear it up that easy as it keeps changing ownership and names. It's now BRP and they've named their ATVs and UTVs Can Ams. BUt don't worry, it'll probably change again by the time you read this ;-)

@Derek130b Seen too many Big Bears, Eigers & KQ400s, Sportsman 400s, as well as Outty 400s to agree with that.

Respond to this video...The company used to be called Bombardier, after the name of the family that owned it. I guess they renamed it Can Am because they got tired of everyone mispronouncing their name ;-)

Bombardia is the company name cam am,sea doo and ski doo are branches of the company. Just to clear evert thing up

@johndeeretech09 Many years ago in explaining the difference between the Volkwagen Beatle and the Renault Dauphine, Henry Manney (I believe?) said the VW was a horrible design, wonderfully executed. The Renault was an incredible design, horribly executed. I think that is the case here. It is a great design but executed quite poorly ;-)
