I found this Plano box for $30 and thought that it would be awesome for a tool box on the back of the Polaris. I use some plastic buckles to allow easy removal and install.

I’ve been using that exact same box (but black) for annual trail trips where we cover a lot of ground. I put foam in the bottom and old rolled up bath towels to keep things from banging around. I also use a ratchet strap on each side and it’s very secure. I keep a tool set, extra clothes, zip ties, tire repair kit, and all sorts of stuff in it. Works great and comes off easily when you’re not using it. Nice video!

I have really enjoyed this box! I found the Polaris lock and ride system and it has changed everything. It is so easy to install and remove.

It is a very nice set-up. I probably need on my ATV.

I did something similar, but changed it up a bit, I used a Plano 56 quart sportsmans box, 2 U bolts, lock washers and wingnuts to secure to the rack underneath. Out the door cost at Home Depot was about $20. The wingnuts were extra to allow it to be removed without tools.

The S hooks on regular rubber bungee fit right on those knobs and will hold securely if you cross them. Been on my Rubicon for years.

Thinking about getting one for my Honda rubicon. I'll use u-bolts and secure that way. Lots cheaper then the atv boxes. Hard to find one under 250 bucks. This thing will work the same just more room

I did the same thing on my renegade xmr 1000, there's really no storage options unless you want to spend 800+ dlls, I used a 56 qt Sportsman trunk and it fit perfectly on my small rear rack.

I have done mine same way few years ago, but I add two nylon pins with bolt underneath the box aligning it those holes just that the box won't move sideways, worked just nicely and using same kind of straps as you have!

Awesome! That is a good idea. I will have to give that a try.

Nice video. Thinking about doing the same. Put some foam around the lip to keep the dust/water out. Also, drill some holes and use the Polaris lock-n-ride system

Haven't seen any drone footage for some time. Would be helpful for visualizing the micro hydro set up.

Hey nice video. I want to know what the end of the box is used for? Right above where you used the strap to strap down the case is another hook shape piece of the lid facing downwards……I have searched around and cannot find what they intended this to be….it must have some functionality. I can’t be the only person wondering what use this is intended for . So far I get nothing in description of product etc.

Ratchet straps that have been shortened may give it a bit more tension to hold things tighter, if you find this setup slipping about.

they break pretty easily, i had one on the back of my quad, they burn fantastic if you need fire starter though

I think you will fid that you will be using that a lot. Why not screw it down and protect your camera equipment and tools. That only needs to slid off one time and you might damage expensive camera gear.

I am worried that as soon as I screw it down I will need to haul a some lumber or other big thing. Then I would have to unscrew the box.
