do you go with the generator directly to the charge controller? do this have a special input or do you use the mppt input?
@LandtoHouseСағат бұрын
It goes to a rectifier then directly to the mppt. Surge protection and breakers are a good idea.

Off topic with regards to this video......but.....Do you know something about Linear Actuators? I have a feeling you do. But, something to keep in mind if you don't. They are WICKED strong. I've been using them for many years. You could put them on your ball valve handles for your water turbine and turn them on and off while inside your house.
@KanaloKrawallo22 сағат бұрын
I tried the same in Germany, but I didn‘t get a permission for water usage…are all the installations on your privat property? Because here, such installations in public areas need a permission which is very expensive and you wait for some months or years to get it…

on their amazon page, they talk about stainless steel. Did you try that out already? I'm looking for an affordable option to engrave and cut into metals (1/2 inch steel?), ideally also take the engraved objects out of the plate in 1 go, but that is maybe asking a little bit much?

I kmow this video is old, and I looked through alot of your comments. Just wanted to point out that when you were checking pressure. Did you notice that when tub was empty you shut valve off right at the guage first, and when tub was full you shut valve off before check valve. Measuring pressure in air tube as well. That may be readon for drop

I have a design for aquaponics that takes the disadvantages of the ram pump into account. Wondering what your thoughts would be. Still in the design phase, so dimensions and measurements are not actual yet, just for sake of explanation. I will have a my fish tank three feet off the ground. Ram pump intake goes from tank down into a reservoir on the floor where the waste goes. The 10/15% water goes up six feet to my media bed. Water is cycled with a bell siphon that empties into fish tank. Sump pump in the reservoir automatically removes water back to the fish tank. This design removes the need for a pump running on electricity 100%, just estimatedly 10 time per hour for two minutes (based off the size pump I'm planning). The height of the media bed provides back pressure for the pump, the quantity of water in the fish tank allows for a full cycle, and it is reset by an electric pump. Note: I might end up added a "parallel" tank at the same elevation as the fish tank, attack via "u" siphon to maintain equilibrium between tanks, for the purpose of having a greater water quantity "in the bank" as well as possible draining the sump into to prevent too much water movement for the fish.

@@LandtoHouse Lmao......It's a shame though. He's very knowledgeable about solar, inverters and everything else. If he would only cater to people without money. Like putting something together for cheap and getting by. How to give more life back to a lead acid battery. How to build your own solar generator and so on. I'm a retired Engineer and can think of many things to discuss which would be a hit with people and limited funds. I liked your video and your simple setup. Stuff doesn't have to be 150 megawatt. 350 watts running non stop 24/7 is going to work really well.

I reconnected the hose just now. I popped off the passenger side rubber seal and it dripped a little like in the video but when i popped off the driver side one it immediately started draining and i rolled from under the car with the biggest smile. Probably the worst installation video I've ever watched done by someone who clearly has zero experience installing electrical anything. Look how much sheathing is on the cable, the wire strippers used, doesn't even push cables back into the box before mounting, etc etc etc. Yikes.
@jllaine4 күн бұрын
That's too cool. Get/make a garden hose to NPT fitting/adapter so that you can connect the output of the drill pump to the threads on the top of the waste valve. You can fill both the drive pipe and the delivery pipe by pumping water down in through the top of the waste valve. Using the ball valves you can first fill just the drive pipe, then fill just the delivery pipe. Might save you that 100+ pushes on the waste valve with your "land to house" branded custom made push-stick!
@LandtoHouse3 күн бұрын
Great idea! I will make that fitting and include it in a video showing how both pipes can be filled from a single connection. Thank you.

Unfortunately, more garden design than a usable water wheel, an overshot water wheel works with power on the lever arm, which requires water chambers. Without weight there is no torque and without torque there is no power. Just put another board across the front so that some of the water stays in the water wheel a little longer 😅 Thank you and best regards from the upper mill👍✌️✌️

Seth, I built a ram pump based off of your design. I have a spring that feeds a 55 gallon drum. It then comes from about 6 inches above the bottom of the drum 50 feet dropping 8 and a half feet. It enters the ram pump. All of the pipe is 1/2 inch pvc pipe. Exiting the pipe is 1/2 inch poly. It travels 100 feet with about a 45 ft rise. My problem is the pump runs about 30 minutes then stops. Oh the spring puts out about 2 gallons a minute. The flow completely fills the supply pipe of the barrel. Could you give me suggestions as to what is stopping it please.

2:10 or since you have to have a water source that's higher, don't bend your pipe down If you had to bend your pipe down instead of doing that you could just stack Up some stones to create a small damn to lift the water level up a little bit I mean you literally have flowing water coming from high to low and you're trying to figure out how to get it in a tube And your answer is to use a power pump to pump it uphill Talk about working against yourself and fighting as hard as you have to
