I bought one of those the other week to complement my solar system in the house, and it charges up during the day from the solar, and it powers my lights in the lounge for about 5 hours at night, I've also hooked it up via a smart plug so I can control it's charging on sunny days, I think it's a very good unit, and thank you for the insight as to what's in it😊.

That is fantastic. Very cool compact and capable device. Excellent.

Four hours with a laptop? The computer's OWN battery will run it for much longer than that!

They were referring to a device that draws 60 watts operating on 120v ac, more like a 40" smart TV.

It’s $180 Canadian. I bought the s600 for $260 and its great for phones and I can hook 300 watt solar to it and charge my electric mountain bike when camping

Nice little unit. A lot more beefy than the one I own.

Wonder what effect the use of a dimmer in line would have? Say with 400 watts of light bulbs for example.

Looks like a nice little unit to charge phones and maybe run a small led lamp during a power outage

Great video. I just got one of these units to support my insulin fridge in case of emergency. It is a small dorm style unit. About how long did it take to charge the unit off the AC power brick from depleted? I'm sorry if you covered that and I missed it.
@12voltvids8 ай бұрын
It was a little over an hour if i remember. I sold it after the video was done as i didn't need another one. I have about 8 of them here. I did cover that in the video as i timed full load discharge and charge.

I'm looking to buy one of these and found your video extremely useful so thanks for that. I have a question about recharging the unit. Via a 10amp 12v cigarette lighter this gives 120 watts which I assume is the wattage that the unit will recharge at. If I recharge via 220 from an inverter or mains it will only recharge at 60w. Is that correct? I'm grateful for your help.

These heater guns are bad to use at ½ power, because you are running the resistive element over a diode. At full power, the diode is shorted by the switch. So yes, on ½ setting it's half the power, but that's because one half of the sine wave is blocked by the diode. You could say it's 50% duty cycle.

@@Douglas_Blake_579 yes we have all seen them go off like the vape pens exploding in people's pockets and homes going up when their ebike went up. These however use lithium polymer cells. The ebikes that went up in flames were usually customer modified to get more range.

Wireless charging: does it work with all phones, or just certain ones? Interesting. Might be good for a power outage to run a fan and lights. (L.E.D.)

Another thing, according to the manual, the solar charging function can be monitored at your figure tips. Does this mean that this device is intended to be used only by pretty ladies with trim figures? Also, placing an LED on a board where nobody will see it is illogical.
@12voltvids Жыл бұрын
Lots of devices have leds internal. For testing purposes at the factory. I have seen devices at work that have alphanumeric led displays inside the cabinet only visible when the top is off being maintained.
