Atwater is a BOSS....an under-utilized character, but when they put him in play, he is exceptional!

Atwater is right; a tense patrol officer is one who starts squeezing off rounds at a fleeing 13-year-old's back because "I felt threatened." You need to be out there cool, thinking and ready to understand or you're just going to be another statistic, one way or another.

This is why I feel Atwater is the most ideal second in command he knows where other people are coming from and he doesn’t lord his past experiences as an excuse to do whatever the hell he wants like Halstead and Upton constantly do.

Atwater is spot on. He acts the way he needs to and he doesn’t even think about what he needs to say. He just say it like it is and that’s the way to do it

My 2 least liked in the show. Atwater just told them what happened and I couldn’t understand a word he said, which I don’t usually. Wish he would talk clear.

Kevin Atwater deserves better women than the writers picked for him cough Vanessa, cough Celeste. I would love it if Kevin and Kim could get together romantically but we all know that's not going to happen between them. And Kim Burgess also deserves better than Adam the writers needs to send in new love interests for both Adam and Kim.
