Flying Cyprus Airways from Beirut, Lebanon, to Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus. Flight CY121 is very short - the flying distance is little over 200km and the total flying time is about 25 minutes.
The security check in Beirut Airport took ages. Therefore, I would advise you to be at the airport at least two hours and a half before your flight departs.
Check-in was a bit chaotic because of some passengers with extra luggage. Boarding and departure were slightly delayed but we landed in Larnaca well ahead of the scheduled arrival time.
Cyprus Airways operate the flights between Beirut and Larnaca with an Airbus A319 in all Economy Class configuration. Cyprus Airways is a tiny airline with a fleet of just two A319 aircraft. That's why, the airline flies only to a few cities in Europe as well as Beirut and Tel Aviv in the Middle East.
Cyprus Airways is actually not a successor of the 'old' Cyprus Airways which went bankrupt in 2015. In July 2016, Charlie Airlines Ltd, a Cyprus-registered company, won a public competition for the right to use the trademark Cyprus Airways for 10 years. Charlie Airlines is a subsidiary of Russia's S7 Airlines.
Just for the record, this trip was not sponsored by Cyprus Airways or any other company. I am also not affiliated with Cyprus Airways.
