A very short flight with Cobalt Air from Larnaca, Cyprus, to Beirut, Lebanon. Cobalt is a small regional airline from Cyprus. The airline was founded a couple of years ago and initially they operated flights to just two or three destinations. At the moment, Cobalt flies to several destinations in Europe and the Middle East - Abu Dhabi, Athens, Beirut, Chania, Heraklion, Dusseldorf, London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stagnated, Copenhagen, Geneva, Manchester, Moscow Sheremetyevo, Mykonos, Frankfurt, Tel Aviv, Thessaloniki and Zurich. Cobalt operates a fleet of 6 aircraft - 2 A319 (all Economy) and 4 A320s in Business and Economy class configuration.
This flight from Larnaca to Beirut was operated with an Airbus A320. It's an extremely short flight- the total flying time is about 30 minutes as the distance is just 208km. Therefore, there is no service in Economy Class. Business Class passengers were offered drinks upon boarding. Not quite sure but they were also served a sandwich or a snack. I didn't film the seats in Business Class but they are really huge. I flew Economy and the seat was also good size with sufficient legroom. Actually, the seats on this Cobalt aircraft were much better than the thin Recaro seats on many European airlines.
Well, it was the shortest flight I have taken so far but my overall impression is that Cobalt offers very good service. Their customer service in Larnaca Airport was extremely helpful with solving an issue with my checked-in luggage. The cabin crew was also very friendly. And everybody is fluent in English! The cabin was clean and the seat was comfortable with good legroom, as I already mentioned. The flight arrived in Beirut on time. The only problem was the stained window :-(
I hope, you have enjoy the video impression of this short flight. Feel free to give it a LIKE, leave a comment and subscribe for more!
Just for the record, this trip was paid by me and I am not affiliated with Cobalt.
