Since there are a bunch of snarky comments about my very well trained working dog…Huckleberry is NOT chasing Gus when he is being lunged. He is simply following him. Gus is not bucking because he is afraid of anything he is in mental turmoil from prolonged physical pain. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk! 😉

Absolutely... Animals need to be allowed to decide how they follow our lead versus being forced to comply!!! This is how I chose to train our spaniel... she's very easygoing and does not disappoint! Animals unconditionally love us and want to please us... Being patient with them while they learn is key to this type of training... CC is spot on with her training... ❤❤❤❤❤

Aside from your kindness, deep understanding, and knowledge of horses, you have something so many people don't, and that's patience. Too many people are quick to dump an animal if it doesn't instantly become exactly what they want. This horse probably had no reason to trust humans, and you taught him he could. So nice to get Little Gus' background. And so cute to see again the fence shenanigan's. Twas so funny when you gave them text bubbles. Seeing them again at that fence being naughty brought the giggles back. Thank you for being so patient with him and finding out what the underlying issues were and then giving him proper training to get him past his past trauma so he can enjoy working with you. Quite glad the tying in the barn gave him some quite time to reflect and realize 1) he's not in pain because the saddle was back and 2) this isn't the same at all. so he could calm down and work his way past the past trauma and use his smarts again. Yay.

Thank you for the heart, love. There are some in this world that see things the way want to see them. There are to, whatever to see any way. You waste time and breath, try to explain. Does that make sense. I hope I got right. I love what your doing young lady. Keep the negative stuff beneath you. God love you. Take care.

Stay the course with Little Gus. He may reward you in ways you don't expect now. Thanks for all you do in protecting 'damaged' horses and educating people about the real commitments one must make in undertaking horse care and ownership.

Heard tell those troll types are best utilized by composting in those turd piles you’ve got cooking. Easy to simply grab the manure fork, without any fuss. :-) Love to see your horses enjoying the vibes of Huckleberry & Tiny. Shows a lot about your individual horse’s sensitivity and curiosity. Really love & appreciate the deep, contemplative, patient approach to sorting out each horse’s issues/needs. SO refreshing to see. Thank you for your respectful style and making the effort to put it out there.

Thanks for sharing Little Gus's journey. Your training methods were exactly what this poor guy needed. I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying his previous life was. He is such a playful, happy boy now! Great job! ❤

How I love people who take "the one no one else wants"! What a relief for this poor guy to be found by you, who took the time to understand him and give him what he desperately needed. I love how you never give up on any of them, and the moment of earning trust is so special. ❤With the hay bag, he reminds me of dogs who obsessively chase their tails. Some people find that cute, but it's not and it's a sign the dog needs help.

Another great video. I love how smart you are about how you start each horse and teach them as an individual, based on their needs. Definitely not cookie cutter training! Thanks for all you do for these guys!
