Since I had a massive intercooler core failure this weekend, it was a good time to make a dedicated video on changing these out for you guys. I do have another video showing a disassembly of the supercharger (not a complete tear down, but still a more in depth video showing removal of other parts), but this is dedicated to simply remove the intercooler cores.

Torque for the bolts holding the coolant (plastic) piping - 5nm Torque for the bolts holding the intercooler core in - 10nm For anyone wondering.

Thanks for your DIY videos. I've been experiencing the coolant in my 2012 A7, decreasing quickly after refills. Do you have any thoughts or ideas on what it may be?? Thank you.

Excellent video! For 3.0T owners like us, I'm beginning to feel like having a spare set of intercooler cores is a necessity. How about doing a supercharger oil service at the same time? Could be a cool video if you haven't done that before :)

Not a bad idea to do, just be very careful you don't under/overfill the oil.

do you happen to know the part number for the pipe that connects the supercharger intercooler cores in the front and the part number to the bolts? went to do intercooler cores and previous owner must have stripped the screws out and i had to extract 3 of the 6

So if they are inside the supercharger, how do you know if the brick is bad? And also, what about them fail

What is the interval for changing the oil in the charger btw ?

No interval for supercharger oil change. But if you have the supercharger off and your car has some miles on it, probably a good idea to change the oil.
