Once you remove the ashtray , instead of using tools I found it much easier just to pull up with my hands . But I don’t pull hard, more like squeeze my fingers together

good video man, i have to admit my videos have been unenthusiastic at times. Im gonna try drinking 5 cups of coffee next time i shoot one should be extremely enthusiastic this time. lol. Hadnt done mmi console removal before so this video was good in giving me a general idea diy. Future note though try to sizes of torque bolts makes researching alot easier. keep up good work

Thanks man. Lol, unfortunately i had a cold at the time i was making this video, a couple of my buddys gave me crap for sounding "so happy" in this one. Rewatching and listening to iTunes makes me cringe a bit now. Definitely learning and getting better with including details about specs such as fastener sizes. Thanks for looking out and thank you for the kind words. Glad the video was helpful.

@@ChronCrew no prob man, what i love about youtube is that if want to research how to do a specific fix its all there because someone has done a diy video on it. no more chiltons manuals.

Man great job & video ( you just sound tired or unenthusiastic) but anyway? Do you still own this vehicle & do you regret owning it because of maintenance issues? I've heard horror stories about these vehicles? Do you recommend them & what year(s) model would you say is better reliability wise? Thanks.

Lol thanks. No i was actually very under the weather when i made this video, so at the time i was very tired and very unenthusiastic. These are great vehicles, however it was not mine but one i was working on for a friend of mine. I do recommend them any year as long as the serives were kept up with you should have little problems. In 06 or 07 they went to a new fsi engine that added some power but also more expensive to fix shoukd it need repairs. I think reliability on these truly comes down to how well the vehicle had been maintained.

+ChronCrew On mine I never had water , coffee etc. on it but my mmi turns on then turns off could it be a bad circuit board .? I also noticed that Tha passages side dashboard teeter won't pop up it's trying but fails... am lost on this any advice. .
@ChronCrew3 жыл бұрын
Disassemble the control board as much as possible. Clean the board and contacts with rubbing alcohol very thoroughly, allow to dry and reassembly. 90% of the time this works. As far as the tweeter is concerned, they are driven by a small motor, the motor could be failing or lost its basic setting.

@@ChronCrew thanks for the info I wasn't sure what I should do first given the fact that this system is very expensive want to make sure I don't damage it more. ..

@@ChronCrew so I did the instructions as you explained it and so far the radio is remaining on. Thank you for your help I'll let you know if that just cleaning it was just the issue as for the teeter I'll look up one at the junkyard or ebay. .again thanks. .
