Hi, great video! Could you tell me if the bolt is tighten to the caliper (the car mass holder in the middle) or if is tighten to the car mass holder (caliper in the middle). I dont want to use spacers. I want to change the offset of the caliper and make my own disk with the new offset

Guillermo Ruggeri I’m not 100% sure what you mean, the disc is the same for both stock and the 4 pot Caliper. The Caliper bolts directly to the hub it’s one piece.

rizrz34 thanks for watching, I was undecided wether to include or not only reason I didn’t include bleeding was if you can do it you don’t need showing and if your not sure on how to do it then it’s best left to the professionals. As it’s quite easy to get wrong and should only be done by competent persons.

@@TheParrottBros hmmm, only thing is though, with these new cars don't you need to cycle the ABS through VCDS or OBD11? and then bleed the calipers again? Would be good to go through the steps atleast.

I have a b8.5 s4. i just installed 4 piston calipers and rotors on my own vehicle just the other day. He also doesn't mention you need to do a brake flush on the video. Anyways, i'm located in CO. if anyone needs this installed, i will be glad to help. Cheers.

They are a brembo Caliper pad and often are shared by multiple platforms. Including macan, Rs3 etc. Search for fcp1334h

Great video, thank you! If you wanted to keep the wear sensor - does that mean you just need to pick the right brake pads, or is it that the Macan calliper is not compatible with the wear sensor? Many thanks

Christina Sagoo it was just the fact that I got pads that didn’t offer a wear sensor, most pads offer a wear sensor :) thanks for watching and commenting

Just found this video. Awesome content. How is it going 3+ years later? I came back from a trip to Germany and discovered my B8.5 S4 needs better brakes :-). I assume all this kit fits the B8.5 platform as well and given the comment below 🙂

Yes will fit 8 & 8.5 just fine, I sold the car a little over a year ago but prior to that the brakes were bang on & was a brilliant upgrade

It should do yes as thats the size of the discs on the s4, always worth mocking up first before going ahead and fitting

Just read the post further down. So the calipers bolt onto the hub using the existing bolt holes for the caliper carrier? Is the hub my 3.0d going to be the same as the S5

kevin MURRAY They should be the exact same hubs as the other models on that platform. You could always take a caliper off and check the distance between the holes, you should be 145 mm centre to centre. Then all you need to do is put some bigger discs on. Thanks for watching

Nathan H loving them, glad I made the upgrade, they take a bit of getting used to as pedal has a lot more feel, light press gets plenty. Hard press and it anchors on. Passengers have asked what they are like and I’ve showed them much to their surprise

This will work on any B8 or B8.5 car (A4,A5,S4,S5), just make sure your wheels clear the calipers and you're good!!

Hi, very late to this so apologies. I've seen some brembos with the same part number as the Q5's but they're off a A7. Would they still be the correct fit for the stock rotors on a B8 S5?

UK PL try and find the part numbers, disc size etc as likely to be used on other modes so could well be compatible

panos dbou I would think that you should be fine without any spacers but it’s always worth offering them up before you do the job just to make sure they clear.

8R0615107F these are a different model and won’t fit. They are made to fit the smaller 320mm discs

Hi , I don't suppose you would know if this combination of discs and calipers would fit the A4 b7 platform? I've looked on the brembo website, and the overall height of the discs, between b7 and b8 is different. I was originally looking at using the z18 6 pots with S4 discs, but can't find a definitive answer to whether that will work or not. Richard King I couldn’t tell you that I’m afraid as never had that platform. If the disc is different I would say not, I know the centre bore on a b8 is larger than a b8 by 10mm so that would be an issue to start with. The 18z May fit but like you said it’s finding the info online that’s the issue. Must be a b7 owners club somewhere that have done upgrades

@@TheParrottBros Hi, been a while ! I've just completed my conversion, and can confirm that the q5 calipers match up to the a4 b7 320mm x 30mm disc. I also upgraded the rears from 288mm x 12mm to the s4 setup. I had to fit 5mm wheel spacers and longer bolts, for the front wheels to clear the Brembo 4 pots. My only complaint up to now is increased brake pedal travel, but I think fitting an s4/rs4 master cylinder will correct this. Regards, Richard.

Part numbers are for Calipers that suit s4 b8 platform which runs 345mm discs. The easy way to tell between the 2 is the Calipers that suit 345mm discs have a oval hole between carrier and Caliper

I'm searching wreckers locally for Q5 calipers to do this upgrade. However, checking ECS' website Part # ES#2844971 says this part does NOT match the B8 A4 2.0T Quattro? This video says S4 / A4? Kindly elaborate please!

Thanks for the question, you can use the s4 Calipers on the a4, straight fit, the brembos are a straight fit on s4 this meaning they will also fit the a4. You will however likely need bigger wheels or spacers at the very minimum. Probably why it says not suitable

I did this upgrade a few months ago and despite bleeding all 4 calipers multiple times, the initial bite still feels a bit softer than stock. I've gotten used to it and these are much better at stopping harder when needed, but did you notice a softer pedal feel after this instal?

it depends, however, the MK7s Golf R/GTIs also use this caliper as a bolt on upgrade and theres a 200+ page thread dedicated to it. It is the consensus to put Castrol Red Rubber grease on the seals and pistons. As well braking optimizations in obdeleven to optimize this caliper and eliminate the soft pedal feel. Some people have run these as is and have been fine. Bleeding needs to be done at 30psi per VW service to get through the ABS. some people miss that.

Johnny Palma I haven’t personally used the A4 ones but can imagine they are the same yes. I would just give them a visual inspection prior to swapping them over. But yes stock s4 is the same fitting. I swapped as wanted braided lines

ECS Tuning makes an adapter that allows the sensor from the Macan to work with the Audi plug.

They need to be that part number on the video description as others differ disc and fitting size. Others may fit but you may need to change discs too

Hi man, after watching your video I went ahead and ordered these callipers from Porsche. I used part numbers 95615123F /124F, but the parts advisor told me they didn't include the calliper pins or bracket but I could get the whole lot for £703. You're saying your local dealer included those? I bought them from Autodoc instead, callipers were £570.70 using both of those part numbers.

@@lukaszszumer7246 no, you will need pads suited to the Calipers. If you look on my description for this video there is a part number for the pads you need and you can google that to see the size you need. They also fit other cars that run a similar pad

I don't see it as an issue. The nuts were already reasonably tight. He is just torqueing them up. I think it's more imporant when tighting them up to pull the wheel on evenly, right?

@@pklifter nope. Always star pattern. There is no pulling the wheel tight. It should sit tight to the hub already when snugged up. It also about even pressure on the bolts. Can’t do that going around.
