By pressing the set button multiple times it should decrease the speed by increments of one. By pulling the leaver towards you, as if activating the cruise control it should increase in increments of 1. The increase or decrease of speed by 10 is as suggested by pushing up or down on the leaver.

Every VAG cruise I've used has operated in a similar method; pushing the stalk up or down increases or decreases by a fixed amount, eg steps of 5 kmh. the SET button on the end of the stalk is on a rocker - pressing the top of the button = steps of +1 kmh, pressing the bottom of the button = steps of -1 kmh

Audi controls are different from other VAG cars, always have been. Usually Audi cars with ACC have a two-stage stalk where going up/down a little will go up in small increments, and going up/down fully goes up in larger increments. Often 2.5km/h and 10km/h. For simple cruise control the numbers are different (and usually a 1-step exists). Set/resume/cancel moves never increment/decrement. It looks like they cheapened out in the Q4 e-tron and removed the two-stage stalk, and now just have a single stage that goes in 10km/h increments. Lame.

I kinda like the look of this Q4, it doesn`t try hard to stand out, but still looks good, both on the outside and on the inside. Bjorn, given you have so many connections, I wonder if you plan to make a video of the motor rattle and replacement issues on the Konas, eNiros, eSouls and ioniqs? Many seem to develop a rattle that can only be solved by a motor replacement and having received my "MY21" eNiro today, I`m a bit worried about the longevity of the car. Thanks very much and lots of love man! :)

the front central armrest does extend forwards. you lift it up & pull it from the front and it slide forwards. It is the same as the Q5 & Q7.

VW needs to really focus on improving efficiency. I know there’s room to improve all of these MEB models. I was hoping we’d see the ID.4/Q4/Enyaq all score somewhere closer to 250 miles of range at 120km/h.

What do you mean : you can’t go up with 1 in cruise control ??? I have also a Q4 for test this weekend. Mine changes cruise control with 1 km up and down. If you tab it short = 1 km and long 10 km …. Also you can re-arrenge the MMI screen… just touch the tiles long and then you can drag them around.

With a Tesla? That's kinda easy...on a hot day, assume 1-1.5kW power needed. So multiply State of charge with tested battery capacity... devide by 1.5 to be sure...presto. Can t remember if Dog mode only works above a certain SoC...so calculate without the bottom 20% to be extra sure.

It always amazes me the difference larger wheels and tyres makes on EVs to energy consumption. Presumably the same with an ICE?

It's actually a very small difference, as long as the width is the same and the rim is aerodynamically designed. You can even see the ID.4 has lower consumption with 21" vs 20" wheels. Yes it was slightly warmer, but it was also the dual motor vs the single motor, which would likely cancel that.

One thing why this isnt as noticeable on ICE is because of there inefficiency. If you use 195 tyres you are at 20% engine load consuming 5L/100Km. Now you use 255 tyre and are at 45% engine , youre consumption only goes up to 5,5L because the ICE engine is more efficient at high load. (Of course the values arent realistic)

Bjorn, what do the “75%” columns in the Google sheeet mean? I’ve seen them in other range tests but have never really understood what information they are displaying.

This should be the typical range if you use 75% of the battery's capacity. The 100% is kind of theoretical as you won't / can't start always with 100% SoC and drive it down to 0% SoC. Usually you would charge to 80-85% and drive it down to 5-10% on a road trip. So the 75% range is the typical leg distance on a road trip. The second column (I guess) is the charge time you would need to charge these 75%. Third column I guess is the charging speed under the given circumstances - how much km can you charge per hour, if you continue driving at this speed. @Bjørn Nyland : The column M calculates as "=K17*0,65" Shouldn't that be "=K17*0,75"?

Does Q4 e Tron have a idle creep mode? It is very convenient to have it but the FAT e Tron does not have it. Many EVs provide it or switch on off. Can you check it for Q4 e Tron? For example, ID4 has the idle creep (no way to turn it off), Tesla can switch on off.

How's the drive comparing to an IX3? Actual range, stowage space and charging speed are quite similar. So this will be the main differentiator for me.

It is probably driving like the ID4 or Enyaq, as it is the same platform they are built on. Only minor differences between the cars. Best thing, if possible, is to try the cars yourself before buying.

Q4 will probably have better dampers and maybe slightly better efficiency overall, all the other stuff are mostly personal preference.

Ix3 is real wheel drive, e tron q4 has rear and awd option. In excel table it is compared to id4 gtx so i m guessing this etron q4 si the awd version tested ? If so ix3 has only the rwd option there is no awd variant.

@@laurentjobart9297 I suppose only very few of them are coming to europe as press cars. We have ordered an Ultimate, and it's scheduled for delivery in november. (I do have the option to cancel it, if I don't like the car. Bjoerns review might well be the deciding factor. :). The AWD as we have ordered are coming later, only rwd wil start showing up to customers late summer as far as I know.

@@abraxastulammo9940 Well the Kia looks like it has very very low ceiling height. I have seen several testers where their hair touch the ceiling. Besides some would argue the Ioniq 5 looks much cooler (Me included :))

One source of error not catched by abba is elevation. One round trip route with uphill (and then downhill) will draw more than a flat one

Greetings, Bjørn! Every time I mention how great EVs are, my friends keep telling me "Yeah, EVs, but what about batteries, bro? Lithium cannot be recycled! Also, making batteries contributes to the environment pollution even more than combustion vehicles. What about the children that are abused for the metals that the batteries are made of?" and I am sick tired of their comments. Can you make a video to clarify these subjects? How clean is it to own an EV? It seems that no one on KZfaq is transparent about this subject, I am aware it may take some years for everything to be perfect, but owning an EV can't be that bad, right? I know the EVs are the future, I just need some good arguments whenever I have another talk with someone and my knowledge about the subject is limited. Thank you!

Ur mates are correct making an ev causes loads more harm to environment and loads more pollution then making a petrol car, one day tec will improve but for now it's how it is. Personally I think electric will end same way as diesel cars.

If you pay for it... 12v DC which the car has anywayd is a lot easier to provide than 230dc. With EVs it is possible now if they got a bidirectional inverter, but still a lot more expensive.

Every Audi Speed Control works similiar, Up and down for increments of 10. Button and Pulli for increments of 1. Audi Q4 ist the Same.

Enyaq would be great if it would have audi instrument panel, not that foolish screen with little information, smaller than usual mobile phones.. and it's not just saving expenses, it's just seperate the branding unfortunately.

I like the ID.4 more. It feels more modern. Enyaq feels like any ICE car both inside and outside IMO. Havent tested the Q4 yet, but I'm not a big fan of Audi infotainment, and the price compared to ID.4 is a bit steep for the same spec.

Agree, nice to have, but I rather have a normal instrument panel with a lots of info of charging, soc, etc. I really like enyaq, and price is much more reasonable on skoda as well, but still the instrument panel is a big minus..

Enyaq FTW. Feels way more nicer than ID.4, it has bigger screen, and the head-up compensates for the little driving display. After you have tried driving with head-up, you get so used to it, that you don't look at the little screen.

This stepping cruise control is disgusting. In VW you could use hidden +1 and -1 in reset and set. What were they thinking to remove it. Not going to buy VW Group ever again
