@carwow and @mattwatson. Do also some laps on a circuit to see the behaviour of the cars, not only drag races. Because 90% of the time this cars will have to deal with chicanes and normal road conditions. Test them on rain and fast curves and also on ground.

There is no doubt in my mind that the BMW M5 is indeed the, "ultimate driving machine."

For people that care (and interested in the M5CP) ... after ~20,000 miles (7,000 in Europe/Autobahn, 13,000 in US) ... here's the high-light. Seats - super comfy, but not enough bolstering for aggressive cornering (end up leaning on the door), but it's most likely proper for what the car is (not bad, but no 911 seats either). Quality - 0 issues, no squeaks, no rattles, no bad fitment, no loose buttons Performance - Impressive, but hidden, so you end up driving faster than you think Sound - Much improved compared with F10/F90 non-CP/LCI F90 is more muted again though (particulate filters etc. ?) Mileage - When only driving high-ways, long haul ... I got 600 miles to a tank (18 gallons), pretty decent! (averaged 17.9 mpg - vs 12.7 mpg on my M3) Space - Great for 4, middle back is 'meh' but not horrible, plenty of space for water etc. - Bonus 'secret' wallet bin left side of the steering wheel (keep forgetting about it) Instrument - HUD ... all I'm using (other than to key in GPS locations), radio, Sirius, Music ... everything through the HUD. Massage - Not too bad, using it quite often, but wish it was 'harder' Comfort - Yes ... very much so Sportiness - Yes ... except seats not build for super aggressive driving ... I end up out of my seat way before the car let go 4WD-Sport - Fun, sliding everywhere if you want 2WD - Useless ... unless you don't like threads in your tires ... or you doing a drift day at the track (1,2,3 in the dry == fish tailing) Visibility - Great, but it's a big car (at least compared to a M3 or 911), the 3D camera is a must Night Vision Camera - Fun, interesting, useless :) (but I think it's also on and used to track animals, humans etc. which the car will warn about if they are intersecting your path) 4-zone AC - Very nice :) no more back-seat AC-ing Stereo (1400W) - Very good, can't complain Drive Assist - Backup breaking (saved me a few times), distance cruise (using it all the time), can't fully trust the 'self-drive' as it works where it's not supposed to, and it don't work where it should be optimal (still use it though, but needs improvement). Trunk - Lot of space, can fold down the rear seats and sleep in the car with no issue (just a mattress and sleeping bag and I'm set) Tire wear - Still on 3 original tires (got two punctures in my right rear, but at 40% wear), 4S - lasting much longer than I was expecting (no track days so far though ... ) Gadgets - All of them? (Except for some reason in US you cannot get the dual-scent fragrance), nothing I think/feel I'm missing (LCI do have a bigger screen though, which might be the one weak point) Gearbox - This was my main concern (after only doing Manuals / Dual-Clutch) ... I can't fault BMW for changing. It's smooth and fast (enough) Steering feel - The one letdown ... but same is the case for most new cars. Wish I could take the steering from the E92 M3 and transplant it ... but it's not as bad as journalist made me think (took a few 1000s miles to get used to though) No regrets ... other than I was supposed to have 24,000 miles on it by now :( Stupid Covid.
