Audi S3 front grill upgrade

Just a quick update, We did not purchase the grill. The customer brought the grill to us for installation.

There is a plastic mount in the grill that you removed and didn’t put on the new. Does the Honeycomb grill has the relevant mount behind the grill? Thanks

Thank you for watching our video! It took us about 3 hours start to finish. The customer supplied the grill for us, we just did the installation for him. Im sorry about that

did you paint or replace the chrome trim? If you bought it, Where did you get it from?

The client bought the grill himself and brought it to us for installation. We do however have connections with paint shops who could do this type of work if you are looking for that

Was the bumper reinforcements bar half black from factory or was it changed?

We didnt change any of the reinforcements during the grill replacement

Did you not have do unclip anything when taking out the old grill?

There are clips and screws holding the grill in from the inside

I’ve been told you have to adjust the ACC brackets. Did you have any problems after installing the grill?

We did not make any adjustments to the ACC brackets and we did not get anything taught in when we weee done. It has been a little bit over a year-a year and a half and its still working great! No warnings in the cluster and no issues

The badge from the original grill is removable, just fitted my s3 badge on my new rs3 grill 😁

Hey! No we didnt have any issues after the replacement. We did not make any adjustments and had no issues. This has been installed for over a year coming up on two years

What size was the torx for the inner bumper screw after you pull the wheel liner? T30?

I wouldnt recommend this job for someone who does not normally do larger jobs on their vehicle

Hello! Does the ACC works fine? I think that the RS grill has the "hole" a little bit higher. Or not?

Thats correct, the hole was in a different place. He did not tell me about any issues after the install and it was okay on the final road test

What is actually acc because I want also to buy an S grill, but I have to choose between, with an acc or without acc, I have an audi A3 8v 2015.....

@@haytamsanchezhd3430 ACC is ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. In other words a black "box" at the bottom of the grill. The ACC grill has a hole for the sensor.

Can you center the ACC? If so How?

No you cannot, the sensor is specially located on a mount. If you move it, the calibration will be off. You cannot calibrate it if it is not in its factory location

@@ReimaginedWraps Not the case. You have to purchase a bracket that moves the ACC sensor up and into the correct location for the aftermarket grill. You have to disconnect the battery before doing so or your ACC will have to be recalibrated. No issues with the new bracket and disconnecting battery before doing this job.

The official instructions will tell you to calibrate the cameras that were removed. We did not calibrate it and we had no issues

I mean… this video is horrible. Why not SHOW the actual bumper and grill removal process? Was it only Torx screws for the grille to come out? Or are there other clips? Also what about the sensors? Like… i feel like there’s a ton of missing steps here.

I appreciate that you had so much more of an expectation for this video. I am sorry that you did not get what you wanted to get out of the video. This was not really meant to be a step by step how to video, just more about showing what we did back at the garage. Hopefully you find what you’re looking for elsewhere.
