Ahhh I remember the first day I got into tuning over 20 years ago. I bought my first car and after a few weeks I asked my tuner older brother where I should go to get my windows tinted. He smiled and said "tinted windows, thats how it all starts..." He was right...

Great content. Ty. I have an 18 with everything you’ve mentioned plus the diff mount insert from 034, and different brake pads (power stop low dust). I have the ABT has system instead of H&r. That said, I bought a funk Motorsport turbo blanket but ended not using it because it’s only really needed if you go bigger turbo from what I’ve learned. Just food for thought. Thanks again for the content. Not many of us out there that make content. We appreciate it. I’ll cop some merch.

@@midlifemods look into a Brake Cooling Duct Set from ECS tuning - should give more air flow to your brakes for the track - inexpensive and easy to install too!

ooo, this is great. Can't find many people that mod these cars for handling/driving dynamics. Does this fix the numb steering at all/increase feel and feedback?

Thanks! The steering is still a bit too numb. I have more handling mods coming such as adjustable upper control arms and I'm thinking about getting KWV3 coilovers. Also, I might go to 18" wheels and thicker tires. I think all those mods will dial it in nicely.

034 Motorsport springs are specifically designed for the Audi shocks and will provide a better ride quality without lowering it too much.

How high does your oil temp get when you’re being aggressive for extended times? I always get so nervous with my B9 because I’ll get up to 270-something rather quickly

I think I maxed out at around 230 that day. Didn't seem to be an issue.

Yea I don’t think u should be getting past 230. 270 seems a little dangerously high. Do u get a warning light to pull over and let it idle. U might have to get that sorted might be the thermostat getting stuck or could be something in the software tricking the car. Always check the TSB technical service bulletins. If u take it to the dealership they will act like they don’t know anything. If u find the tsb and tell them I’ll get it fixed if u don’t know they play stupid even tho they know dam well

I suggest using actual coilver and not springs this will renders to a horrible ride while keeping the body roll, I had KW V2 on my BMW and trust me it's really worth it over stock strut! You could get BC coilovers for a more affordable price and it would hep since it has height and dampening adjustment. Cool video btw!

How long have you been modded? Any problems so far? Really want to tune but having bought Audi care I don’t want to tune and then have wasted the money on buying a new car with warranty and Audi care

I started modification almost immediately after I bought it. I started with the suspension. That was about a year ago. I did the stage 1 tune 5 months ago. So far, my dealership has been pretty cool. The thermostat went prematurely and they covered it under warranty. I understand the risks, but I just really wanted a high performance S4 but I can't buy an RS4, so I figured I'd make my own :) I think the key is to make sure you have a good connection with your dealership service department or a local mechanic. I also looked at it this way, I didn't want to tune an older car with miles on it. I wanted to enjoy the performance with a new car. Good luck with your deliberation.

Ahhh... the warranty :) I'd rather enjoy all these mods while the car is new than worry about the warranty and have to wait.

It looks like an a4 tbh :)) with those chrome shit. The car is silver do a chrome delete. You talk about mods and you leave the exterior to 0. And no virtual cockpit ? on a b9.5 :)))))))

Now all Audi S- lines and "S" cars look the same. I don't know why audi done that... The only models that look any different are the RS models. They have more of unique design to them. Also the virtual cockpit is a preference I say. And its very nice to see audi to offer both, dials or virtual. I prefer having the dials
