@@ElRayDelRio I've had my 6-speed manual 2004 S4 sedan for 15 years. Bought it with 13K, now has 140K+ miles. I don't know of a better all-around car. That's why I still have it.

@@joevarga5982 you are absolutely right! I've owned my 6 speed B6 S4 Avant for about 6 years. I purchased with 130k miles. Had previously owned a D2 S8 but that was an auto and the reason why I wanted to drive something different. My B5 S4 was not running at the time or else I would have kept the D2 and sold my B5 S4 sedan instead. My B5 is still a garage queen with a stage 3 and only 100k miles lol

But,One Of the Disadvantages of Owning A Car Like This,Like the A4' S Wagons of 2000-2006's,Is That U' l NEED UR GOLD OR PLATNIUM AMX' CARD,Each Time U Pick It Up From the Dealer,After Service,Almost Have To Be A Certified Mechanic, To Keep Ur Repair Bills Down,To Own An Audi.HOT ROD LIKE THIS ONE,J ust Like Most German Cars.LOL Is It Still For Sale ?

You're right. This car isn't worth taking to the dealer any more. In fact it's not worth taking to an independent shop either in many cases. This car is for the home mechanic and parts alone are extremely expensive. If you're doing your own work and just paying for (aftermarket) parts it's manageable, because it's actually reasonably reliable.

@@joevarga5982agree. OEM parts can be expensive, but usually you’re better off with aftermarket which are as good or better and much cheaper. These cars can be very reliable. Maintenance is minimal and easy enough. Most service can be done at home. 11 years of ownership speaking here. Now if the car has been beat on and not taken car of it will be expensive to be made right as would any 10+ year old used car.

@@seashackf1 I've had my 2004 S4 for 15 years. The original radiator finally failed after 18 years of use. The dealer wanted over $1,300 for the radiator alone. On line OEM sources want over $800 for the same part. I bought a Nissens radiator for $195 and saved $1,100 on the radiator itself and probably $1,500 in labor. I'm convinced that Audi is making more money from parts and service than they are from new car sales and they probably deliberately made (what should be) simple things like changing the alternator belt a huge effort in order to deter their customers from working on their own cars while allowing them to charge 8 hours of labor. It's an enormous racket.
