Audical and Rayul went face to face in the Top 16 battle round of The American Beatbox Championships 2017.

The American Beatbox Championships are the United States premier beatbox competition. Every year, the most talented beatbox talent from all around the country come to New York to compete for the title of best in America. In 2017, the American Champs celebrated its 8th year.

Two things i learned after this tournament 1. Take care of yourself - i was in new york being cold as fuck and didn't pack a coat or anything and got sick right before my elim and this battle 2. Adapt to sound system and everything around you. I had a lot of material for this battle and literally chose the 2 beats that wouldn't come out on this sound system.. I should've paid attention to the battles before me to hear what sounds were going through etc and not do a cut and dry performance. I have all the beats i didn't use here for the next event i go to... I promise i'll kill it next year ;) Thanks for the feedback :) Congrats to Rayul (he's sick as fuck and i'm happy about how far he got for real) Big up american scene!

Everyone asking about why audical didn't win, audical was sick and you could clearly hear it in his rounds. You have to give him a big up for going as hard as he could while sick though

I'll tell you why Audical lost (yes I was there live and jammed with Audical many times). His first round was good however he was so focused on out performing Rayul that he didn't focus on going all the way. His second round just wasn't enough to secure that win. That's why I always advocate the right choice in rounds and going hard no matter who you're battling. Rayul came very prepared and went hard each round. Big ups to both of them and can't wait to see how far you both go soon!

Heyo, idk why everyone is either complaining or trying to explain why audical lost. He explained it himself, the man was sick. But, over all, people shouldnt be talking shit on the event as a whole. I lost in finals, and its my fault lol. Im not saying "AMERICAN CHAMPS SUCKS" Anyway, I think you guys should just chill tf out.

Audical lost due to his his second round by his sound off that high pitch noise not getting through the sound system very well. Ryule was more grooved and structured with his beats, plus I felt that bouncing up and down sensation with his beat than audical in the second routine. Also as much as I love audical his counter in the begging in the second round was a bit sloppy, but hey he did his hardest and showed that battle mood and all is imprtsnt is that he tried his best but it just wasn't his night. Shoutout to both though

Veit ya I woukd agree. They said that they were going to use the D5. This year was a weird one. Only 3 judges but yet again. This year was awesome for newer beatboxers.

Rayul won fair and square under the circumstances. Audical’s sound set was not that good on this system and was very ill before the battles. He was also a little sloppy here and there while Rayul stepped it up and was solid for all 2 rounds. And just because one is “better” off mic and has a rep it doesn’t matter. What matters is the battle at hand. No pre judgement.

Rayul won against audical in this particular battle. It doesn't mean that the judges think audical hadn't more to offer. Audical tried to save his best routines for later rounds i think.
