I like the rosewood, but I'm going to keep my AT LP 120XUSB. I prefer DD and S-shaped tone arm. Quartz lock speed control, strobe markings, a light for night time listening, adjustable feet and a place for a 45 adapter and headshell.

I have the 120 too and think it's a fantastic turntable for it's price. I agree on the features you mentioned; My ONLY niggle would be that it's totally manual so doesn't have auto stop....but I knew that when I bought it, it's a DJ style turntable, it's supposed to be manual and I'm usually in the same room when the record finishes.

If you get it minus the Bluetooth it’s $75-$100 cheaper. I’ve seen them for as little as 399 and I paid $450 for mine without the Bluetooth in piano black with the carbon fiber tonearm and I love it.

Great review, this has convinced me to purchase this turntable as an upgrade from my entry level LP60BTX (yeah I know, don’t judge, money was tight when I purchased 2 years ago) I’ll be using this Bluetooth initially until I upgrade my home cinema receiver to a superior model with dedicated phono connection. Nothing to judge you for for picking the LP 60, it's a better turntable than most (if not all) in that price range and many that cost much more. I have the LP120xusb but seriously considered the LP 60 at the time. It's really not bad. I just got a good deal that justified paying a little more. Just thought I'd mention that you say your current receiver doesn't have a dedicated phono connection and that is why you would use Bluetooth; Both the LPW 50 and the LP60 that you currently own have built in phono preamps so as long as you have a spare pair of RCA inputs on your receiver you are good to go.I have 2 amps, neither has a dedicated phono input. They largely disappeared for a long time on amps/receivers. If the amount of ordinary RCA inputs on your receiver is limited, it's always an option to get an RCA audio switch which allows you to connect a number of sources through the same RCA inputs on your amp. These can be found on the likes of Amazon or eBay for very little money. I'm certainly not an audiophile snob but would say that even the stock built in preamp on a turntable will sound better than using Bluetooth. Further down the line I would highly recommend an external phono pre-amp but that needn't cost a fortune, either but for the time being, make the most of what you have. It's 3 weeks since you posted this so I'd be interested to hear if you have upgraded to the LPW50 yet and what you think of it if you did.

Bought one of these, on the back of this review, as my secondary office system. Fantastic sound. Try changing the silicone-rubber mat for a felt one for a smoother more detailed playback though!

I'm considering buying this turntable soon. I thought about the AT-LPW50PB which is I think the same as this one but with no Bluetooth. The AT-LPW50BTRW really caught my eyes with the rosewood color (it played a big role in my decision because the AT-LPW50PB is only available in black). I think I'll use the Bluetooth technology because I'm someone who listens a lot to music, so if I want to listen to a vinyl and my family is asleep I can just connect the turntable to my earplugs and voilà. I heard from some people that the quality is not that great when listening with earplug. Is that true?

Being a fellow vinyl junkie in Pinellas County, I was wondering if you had any suggestions for quality resources? I like Bananas, Kingfish Records and Clearwater Record Shop for vinyl, but I’m always looking for other places to get my fix. Also, wondering if you had any ideas for vintage gear???

I remember when the Radio Shack brand Optimus (1999) and the Sony LX-250 (2006) were the only turntables with the phono-line output switch.

I bought two Optimus LAB-1000 turntables in 1995, tweaking one to play 78rpm by turning up both 33 & 45 rpm speed pots underneath. They came with P-mount Audio Technica carts and the built-in switchable preamp. Korean made, and neither lasted 10 years. One developed bad flutter, the other wouldn't always turn on when you moved the tonearm over the record. I should've bought a pair of Technics SL-BD22s instead, because I'd still be using them today!

Although I vastly prefer quartz-locked direct drive, the whole AT-VM95 series is really dope! When I accidentally bent the cantilever of the great-sounding 95E stylus, I replaced it with a 95EN (nude) stylus, and the improvement was so significant that I can’t ever go back to bonded styli! Maybe one day I’ll upgrade to the 95ML, but hopefully later rather than sooner. Peace.

I like the looks of this TT, but the tonearm did seem a bit 'bouncy' on the lifts. Also are the feet adjustable or not. Thank you for the quick review, sir!

The rosewood looks good, but it's a shame it's belt drive given that AT produce the technically superior quartz locked direct drive AT-LP120XBTUSB for a similar price.

I don't like that there doesn't have an option to play 78s or have adjustable legs. I have an AT right now but would probably upgrade to a Fluance. Thanks for the video!

It does have adjustable legs. I have AT-LP120XBT-USB. I am also considering upgrading to Fluance but I certainly admire the bluetooth function (I know you can buy bluetooth receivers but I like to keep a clean set-up with less wires, etc.)

The feet are adjustable. I have the same model minus the Bluetooth. Mine is in piano gloss black with the black carbon fiber tonearm. By the way the motor is electronically speed governed which means it has accurate speed. I tested mine and it was dead on. For example I put a heavier platter mat on mine but the electronic speed control will compensate for that. Also I do love the descent of the tonearm. It’s the perfect speed. My only complaint is when you lift up the tonearm with the cue lever it slightly jerks the tonearm to the right which is not the best thing for the record. I noticed yours was doing the same thing. Mine also has a completely metal queuing lever which is a really nice touch It doesn’t have the plastic sleeve over it.

It's nice to look at, but all that plastic, and Bluetooth for $500? That's a $120 premium over a AT-LPW40WN, or $300 premium for a AT-LPW30TK that seams a tad bit excessive to be charging such a price IMHO. You could easily attach a good & cheap ($18-$30) Bluetooth transmitter to the other two, and save a lot more money.

YES!!!!!! I agree I even bought one for 5 dollars just to check it out it is battery powered my computer at work does not have bluetooth so i got this to see if it works and it does so I can use any device and make it blue tooth ready battery lasts close to 6 hrs so far ,i just wanted to try it out that idea of yours is very !!!good why spend a lot for bluetooth ready when so far for 5 dollars you can get one and use it on other devices and the range that i got so far was close to 32 feet ,and i cannot believe that audio technica would use plastic on half inch mount and on the counter weight shaft I wish i could see that tt in person myself cause that TT is 400.00 on amazon and like u said the at-lpw30tk looks the same but costs less

i like the TT but I find it hard to think that the half inch mounting ring is plastic while the tone arm is carbon fire and the stem for the counter weight is plastic ?????this thing cost 400 dollars i don't think audio technica would do that i have lesser TT's where the half inch mount threaded ring is not plastic and usually the headshell from audio tech is metal why use a plastic half inch threaded mount that does not make sense and the counterwieght shaft can't believe it is plastic that sounds cheap and should be cheaper in the price
