Just recently purchased a pair of L52s. Have them on an old school kenwood. At 4 ohms unit only pumps 55 per channel. There definitely is a brake in period. Awesome units. Really brought out the best the Kenwood could be. Love them well worth the money. Highly recommend.

My old Yamaha CR400 amp has this specs: continuous performance 8 Ohm: 2x 20 Watt 4 Ohm: 2x 24 Watt dynamic performance 8 Ohm: 2x 56 Watt 4 Ohm: 2x 76 Watt Will this be okay for the speakers? I will not hear them too loud, but I am worried about the rather low sensitivity.

I wanted to know how they sound for that price and here I get an impression. More and more I think now "going big" is the problem. When one listens to Edifiers or other small quality active speakers, the sound is very fast, bright but in a smooth way while on very expensive equipment, there is more of a wide sound stage surely and they can go very loud without distortion but the sound is less fast, intimate and near. I always sense a kind of shrillness although it is probably imagination. I bought in the 80's a Kenwood amplifier and Celistion Ditton Four speakers (both quality) and expected music heaven for that money. It's was so disappointing. A additionally bought equalizer helped only a little bit. Now recently, I found those little active speakers and these are really what I was always dreamed of, how a good installation should sound. But they are so cheap. What makes them sound so pleasant?? Is it the integrated short pathway? Is it the modern magnets ?

You tested the KEF ls 50ws. Can you describe the difference in terms of sound to the KEF ls50ws !?
@Audiofied
@Audiofied Жыл бұрын
I'd say the KEF LS50 Wireless II are much more detailed and clean, with a wider soundstage. And of course, advantage that they're wireless. Do keep in mind though, that the KEF speakers are like 3x the price I think

Hello, I have a question, I come from Germany. What is the best way to set up the speakers? Should the bass opening look outwards or should the tweeter look outwards? because the speakers are not labeled left or right.

The base and tweeter should definitely be facing any walls or objects because it might reflect or distort the sound. But up to your preference to angle it slightly depending on your home size. If the speakers are not labeled as left or right, it typically doesn’t matter which one is placed on the left or the right. What’s more important is that they are placed symmetrically in relation to the main listening position for a balanced stereo image.
