Hey J . . . good of you to give these se guys a shout out. They were at the Montreal show too and maybe you heard them there - FABULOUS and they were my BEST OF SHOW by quite a margin. LOVE Maggies and they STILL are a STEEL but these Diptyques outdo them pretty well in all areas . . . but for a price. MUCH more expensive . . . what is a VERY nice feature is that they are serviceable at home if one needs to replace a driver. GREAT SOUND! But they need GOOD clean power. Not as much as Maggies though because they are much more sensitive. CHEERS!

I would be interested in comparing these speakers with the new Clarisys Audio Piccolo. I currently have a Magnepan LRS+ in a small room. The LRS+ works very well in most respects but there is room for improvement, especially with a bit better clarity.

I've heard the Diptyque and they have been amazing. With the Kora electronics they reach new levels of realism. The 160's in Blue were gorgeous. The light on top only indicated which pair were in use at the time.

holy shit tose diptyque are awesome they sound like real music just buy them you willnever regret it iwish i cuold affoerd , but i will be happy with my lowthers

Every time I’ve heard them they have the foot tapping kinds sound .very engaging. I’m glad you asked about crossover , I’m going to modify my Maggie’s with new crossover

Jason, one of the most common complaints of large panels is that they exaggerate the size of vocals and instruments. Another is that they're not as dynamic as cone/box speakers. How do these speakers do in that regard?

That's a fair point about such speakers, but I'm not too bothered by it in general... Even with Maggie's. I don't think it's an issue to worry about with these, but all speakers have trade-offs. Thus, you just have to pick the one with the least and IMO, these have very few for the price.

hey Mike . . . if I can add my two cents . . . I heard these guys at the Montreal show in March. ABSOLUTELY stunning and IMHO, never suffered from exaggerated size of singers and instruments plus they "disappeared" as a sound source. Gotta given 'em a try if you can :-) They are sort of like Maggies on steroids quality wise but in a higher price league unfortunately

Hi Gary, Panel speakers are simply panel speakers, nothing can be done about it. I do agree with you, they don't come into the home here either. Grtz Phil

You can order them in any automobile color, and can get different trim material. You could probably get them gold plated if you really wanted.
