This riff was kicking around since the RAGE days! When id 1st heard this song I was digging it! 1st time I'd listened to it drunk! That's when it hit me! I saw them jam on it and Zach was just standing there. He didnt have a melody for it. When I'd realized they were finally able to use it!! I got soooooo happy because when they were jamming in it! The band was tight and were sooooo into it!🤘🎸🤘🥁🤘🍻🍻😎

You should do some from the first Rage Against the Machine album, really fun to play riffs. BTW, have you bought that Pearl jam anthology tab book that's on their website? It looks nice but don't think I need it with your videos 👌

Dean fear not Dean lots more to come! Nah I heard it didn’t have solos in it and a lot of the tabs weren’t accurate enough or I would have bought it, but some people like it. I prefer to write my own tabs 😊🤘

For some reason I can't nail the second half of that first main riff. Even though it's exactly the same as the first part, just shorter, it just comes out choppy for some strange reason. It's almost as if I'm fretting the notes just a smidge slow, but I'm not doing anything different from the first part. I've been working it for months and can't get it. I've slowed the tempo way down and still can't put my finger on it so to speak. Any suggestions out there?

hey Justin, d'ya know what i've written that tab out slightly wrong! Sorry about that, but the second part of that riff is marginally different in the phrasing. The second hammer on from 5 to 7 should actually come in a semi quaver quicker than i've tabbed. So i'm playing it right but didn't write it down correctly! If you count 9 semi quavers, the second phrase should start on the 10th semi quaver and be held for 3 semi quavers. Man hope that hasn't confused things further!! One thing you can do is abandon the grace note hammer on and just play the 7th fret until you nail that, that would simplify it and then add the hammer on later?
