I know that feeling. I saw a band called Necrophagist and the guitar player is SO GOOD that I did not wanna mosh. All I did was wanna watch him play. When I met the guitar player and told him that, he started laughing. He said that was the greatest complement he ever had. It sucks Chris is gone.

I totally agree. That you can be friends & have feelings for them.Just by chatting with them on Facebook, or some other sites.I met one of my closest friends.20yrs ago on a AOl site. And we finally met once. BUT HE IS A VEGETARIAN, and Iam a meat and potatoes girl. What a mistake that was.Letting him go after meeting.& Iam a night person & he had to get up at 3am.So the #1 voice he heard every morning was mine. And even before we met, I needed help moving and he was right there. Now he has a live in girlfriend, and we get along fine. But I really messed up,When I I passed on him

On a cobweb afternoon In a room full of emptiness By a freeway I confess I was lost in the pages Of a book full of death Reading how we'll die alone And if we're good, we'll lay to rest Anywhere we want to go In your house I long to be Room by room patiently I'll wait for you there Like a stone I'll wait for you there Alone On my deathbed I will pray To the gods and the angels Like a pagan to anyone Who will take me to heaven To a place I recall I was there so long ago The sky was bruised The wine was bled And there you led me on In your house I long to be Room by room patiently I'll wait for you there Like a stone I'll wait for you there Alone Alone And on I read Until the day was gone And I sat in regret Of all the things I've done For all that I've blessed And all that I've wronged In dreams until my death I will wander on In your house I long to be Room by room patiently I'll wait for you there Like a stone I'll wait for you there Alone

This song makes me think of the patients I work with as a palliative/end of life care social worker. I think of not only the patients who are adults who are now non-verbal, have memory loss or other end-of-life complications but also parents who have lost their children too. I've worked with both demographics and I've seen it first hand, what the loneliness of waiting. I think of my first patient most prominently, the 95-year old man in assisted living who was married for more than 75 years before his wife passed away two years before and his son passed some years before--no friends left or relatives for company--just waiting, willing and ready, but still here. I was happy for him when I received news of his passing because he was finally without that loneliness and immense grief.

Thank you guys!!! If he isnt himself here it maybe because he is to going through something of his own. Prob from his wife..smh..it may be that he too has come close to the broken soul amd realizes that at this moment this song may come to truth. Who knows though..Anyway..Just totaly awesome guys. To @@martinl5766: Take it easy there, Simon Cowell. How many albums did you sell? How many music awards did you win? My guess is none, so don’t judge until you’ve done the work. • Another thing: Did it occur to you that he and the band were on tour that long ago, and that he was changing up how he delivered the song in order to conserve his voice? It’s what I’d do - what anyone else would have done - were I and many others had Chris Cornell’s talent. • Seek forgiveness for your lack of empathy and go find some.
