I loved the way he was driving at the start; I was taught the Advanced Driving Course be a Gloucestershire Police Driver Training Instructor. It was nothing like PC Muppet's attempt. Then the parking, and the changes of tactic throughout the rest of the encounter is mind blowing. He sounded more like a recruit than an inspector, what an embarrassment to the force.

Absolute silence on your part would have been the best move here I think. It may have meant a little longer in the cells, but a much bigger pay out ultimately. I do hope this video makes the local PCC and Chief Constable proud of their force and raises questions about the behaviour and competence of their Constables and especially their senior staff. Make sure you get your record/details removed from the PNC as they had no right to them in the first place.

What the inspector said to the custody sergeant was self explanatory. I am more concerned about the Sargent saying he could not release you until you provided your details. The inspector mentioned finger prints. Have a look at this Section 61 - Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.

I thought it was regarded that police officers can't be "alarmed etc. by conduct which, although it would alarm others had they been present, is conduct a police officer meets regularly in the course of his duty. He is expected to be able to cope with 'everyday' misconduct without being particularly alarmed etc." Muppet sums him up pretty well! That parking has been highlighted again recently and really sums up the contempt for the community. The parking officials in the same building are corrupted by the same contempt.

Hi, AY. I've watched a few of your audits and noticed it's not the first time you've been arrested for calling an officer a muppet. I'm assuming it's not a criminal offence to be rude or condescending to a police officer, as they are supposed to have thick skins, and after all they've fully earned all the distrust and hate from the public. And a Section 50 public order offence only applies to the public, not the police. Like many other viewers I found the behaviour of Dyson horrific and pathetic. He's using anything and everything to prompt an arrest and bolster his crumbling ego. I would like to make a formal complaint against him as I'm sure most of your subscribers would too. Which station is he based at, and what is the likelihood of having Dyson disciplined, demoted and removed from public office?

The Inspector cannot be the complainant, the courts of already set precident that in the course of their duties, they are exposed to words that an ordinary person might find offensive and therefore they have a higher tolerance. The custody Sgt should have stopped it there and then, but that would mean breaking the blue line and going against a colleague. This is a combination of an out of touch old copper, who's last interaction with the public was probably well before auditing, cameras and people being educated as to the law.. and the desire to get personal information. Enjoy the out of court settlement !

The Inspector needs to be placed in care as he is an obvious danger to the public and has weird things floating in his head. He obviously does not have any idea of the Laws of the United Kingdom, but who has allowed him to gain an annual payment while unfit for duty as displayed in his childish outbreak. All Police Officers involved in the illegal arrest to be removed from duty. All Police Officers involved to face criminal proceedings for falsifying charges. Compensation set at £100,000.

He was "offended" (oh dear) and so kept searching for something else to pin on you despite the obvious offences of the officers' vehicles. Unbelievable and completely had lost control, and these people are getting paid a lot of money and are supposed to be upholding it. Appalling!

Calling an officer a “muppet” would be interpreted as an “insult”. A public order offence is to cause alarm, distress or discomfort by acting in an intimidating, threatening or abusive manner. Correct me if I’m wrong but using insults was dropped from a public order offence years ago as it is subjective to opinion & denies your freedom of speech. Rowan (Mr Bean) Atkinson shared a video on KZfaq regarding this a few years ago. The experienced (and he must be experienced to have achieved his rank) officer spins a yarn regarding laws on the photographing of public buildings, clearly abusing his position as this is a blatant lie. Knowing full well insulting comments like “muppet” was removed from public order offences years ago goes to suggest the officer is serving nothing but his own self important ego. Can’t see any magistrate or jury upholding this conviction.
