Another good point here for newbies: This audition take was not "perfect". I clearly flubbed the last line. But it's important to submit something organic. (In my opinion), don't OVER prepare - memorize, but don't plan your reactions... listening is as important as delivering your lines. The other beats were there, so I used that take, despite the imperfection.

I remembered that scene as soon as your self-tape started. That was an excellent self-tape. I’m so glad that you sent it in with the slight word fumble. So many of us would be tempted to do another take to get it “just right.” And I’m just a weeeeeeeee bit jealous that you got to work with the amazing Julia Garner.

What an amazing self tape!!!! Loving the micro expressions. As an actor who is still in school, this is really inspirational :)

I see why you booked it. I mean...you obviously portrayed the character just how they invisioned her in the script. You dressed the part, and I'm sure although they had many women who looked similar to you to audition for this role, you managed to tranfrom and bring the character to life with your own personality organically; you simply fit into that world. The audition was a prime example to help casting, directors and producers decide that. Thanks Amy, this was awesome.

That was a great audition and a great scene. Thanks for posting it. It's rare to get to see that whole process. I agree with your advice, not just for newbies but no matter where you are in your career it's good to remember obsession with perfection usually kills organic spontaneity. And btw, in my opinion, you did not "clearly" flubbed a line. If you had not pointed it out it would not even register. The second time through after you said that is see it but it still doesn't read as a flub. just saying.
