Classically trained, Umi made headlines all over the world after appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show and wowing audiences; she's played concerts in places like Steinway Hall in New York City and with amazing people like those of the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra, all in the last 3 years of her admittedly long life. Indeed, it's not hard to see why Umi Garrett is truly an inspiration to us all.

Umi certainly has the potential to become a great pianist...and going by her personality she must be from a wonderful home where she is being allowed to truly enjoy the gifts that she has, hence being given the best opportunity to really succeed, and never lose the joy she experiences from playing and living music

It is fairly safe to say that the competitive nature of humanity would have dictated that many of the classical composers would have felt a little threatened by an eight year old girl who can play their compositions just as well (if not better) than they do. What a lovely little girl! And playing the piano so well in front of a live audience for the first time! No shyness or embarrassment....just sat down, smiled at everyone and played like an Angel! Her little trick playing sessions were cute too....I hope she goes a long way into the future and enjoys the wonderful career that awaits her! 💐👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
