I have seen exactly this Aurora in Kuopio as well. Was my last day in Finland after 8 great months with great people ! I'm clicking back to that video every couple of days or weeks... it's still amazing me - unforgetable night! Thank you for sharing it !!

Yes, they're pretty much always moving in varying speeds. Only when the auroras are milder they tend only to have a vague glow in horizon which seems to stay pretty still.

I've been 4km to the west of Puijo Tower - on Neulamäki Wooden Tower. Great spot to watch northern lights because of its darkness around.... Let's see if this winter session will bring even more auroras which are visibly in Kuopio.

Noooo! In Loimaa, wich is also in Finland but close to Turku we saw only little green shine. But in Forssa, they saw almost as cool as in this vid

as beautiful as it is, i'd really like to see a video that's not time lapsed. Just a regular video pointing up with people in the foreground for perspective. Northern Light videos all look the same. I haven't seen an innovative shot of them since i was a kid. Help!!
