Aurora has such a high emotional IQ that she is able to impart to the rest of us the meaning of the music… even if we don’t consciously understand the song. I have no idea what this song was about but I could feel it all the same thanks to the energy Aurora is able to create. I’m convinced she could sing an entire song without ever saying a single word and everyone would just somehow know what the song was about. Not very many people like Aurora out there so it’s magical when us mortals come across someone like her. She might not see it but she’s definitely a gift to the world.

As you may know , Aurora's home when growing up was without a TV or Radio but her father had a Record Player and he listened to Cohen , Enya etc . Some lines of Leonard Cohen do pop up in some of her lyrics ,most notably Aurora's single "Exist For Love" where the first line is "There is a War between a man and the woman" ,from Cohens"There is a war." and "We will be leaning out for love and will lean this way forever" from the last verse of Suzanne. A little bit of trivia for you there lol. I dont think you have reacted to Auroras first ever love song Exist For Love, if not you should watch the official video , a feast for the eye's .

She also listened to CD’s and she had an ipod growing up, downloading music through Limewire on the family pc. Aurora tells different stories about her musical influences growing up.

@@katiestevens9887 I'm sort of suggesting that during her earlier years growing up ie around 6 yrs to maybe 14 a time when she says she started writing melodies and later the words then this would be a time of influence of what she heard at home.

I can honestly say that in my 65 years of watching many many singers perform live in concerts I have never been so moved at an emotional level as much as I have with Aurora give her any song to cover and she will turn it into a masterpiece,as for her own songs, for me she stands head and shoulders above anyone else out there, her lyrics always take you on a journey to make you think deeply about life and the world we live in,her words are poetry for your soul and medicine that’s brought so much joy to so many people.but for me her best quality is that she is so humble she has never craved after stardom or awards she loves her fans (warriors) deeply for she knows how deeply they love her, and the funny thing is that I have seen her live twice now and there were times when she was so shy and amazed by the reaction of the people there it’s as if she really dose not know how good she is,but for me Aurora is simply a Genius and we are so blessed to have her music in our lives.so as a Aurora might say( “let love conquer your mind”)❤️💚💛🧡💙

your relationship with Aurora's fanbase is a very beautiful and delicate thing. thank you for that. If you don't mind, I would like to recommend an acoustic that she made of the song "cure for me" based on a Brazilian style of music called "bossa nova" in my opinion one of the best acoustic versions. The title is "AURORA - Cure For Me (Acoustic / Live on NRK P3 09.09.2021) ". Nice job as always

This was a tribute consert in Oslo Spektrum, Oslo, Norway on 25. April 2017 following his death 07. November 2016. Capacity: Max. 9,700 people. 3.700 permanent seats. 5,000 chairs on movable grandstands and on the floor, or 6,000 standing on the arena floor. Max cap “in-the-round” 10,500 people. There was around 20 guest vocalists, I don't remember the name of the band. I will ask the drummer next time I see him, we come from the same place. Aurora was in Chicago when she got the news that Cohen had died, so on the 11 of november, 4 days after his death, she changed her consert to include "Marianne" (who was Norwegian also): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n5pzmtyHsrDNdZ8.html

Sadder and more dream like than the original. I suspect that her body movements are not intentional or even conscious. They seem just a part of her, just how she is, a very sensual being.

Hi 😁 What you see here was a tribute concert on the anniversary of Leonard Cohen's death. Many singers performed here and sang his songs. Including Aurora. Cohen was one of her great inspirations and role models. She grew up with his music. Cohen's death has taken Aurora very hard. you see that here at this gig. Almost close to tears. That wasn't an easy performance, because she really mourned. By the way, this is my favorite cover of Aurora. The chorus should be known to everyone. So the melody. This became the world hit "When I need you". This melody was stolen from "famous blue raincoat". This led to a legal dispute that Cohen won. Here is "When I need you" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ecuqhbWlnJ6piYU.html

I´ve just learned that the owner of that actual "famous blue raincoat" was Leonard Cohen himself - and listening to Auroras version, I´m starting to search for another way of understanding the lyrics. This take is from a concert in Oslo Norway. The stage is Oslo Spectrum

Another nice reaction! Leonard Cohen is one of Aurora’s favorites so I know she wanted to do this song justice. For a next reaction I’d recommend A Different Kind of Human live at Christines Radiofestival, this song is a follow up to Infections of a Different Kind which you already heard at HAIK. My other suggestion would be Soulless Creatures live at Bergen 2020, this underrated song is one of Aurora’s personal favorites where she sings as Mother Earth and this performance is the only time she did it live.

Thanks for this reaction :) ... I believe this was a tribute concert to Cohen, with several artists, so not much room for improvisation in this case. Imho, for covers, it would be nice to start with a small preview of what the original song sounds like :) ... Another cover of Cohen she did, much more emotional as it was only a few days after Cohen's death, was "So long Marianne", during one of concerts : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n5pzmtyHsrDNdZ8.html

You mentioned that you would like to talk with Aurora. It made me think of her Lifekey interview. It's long and thorough. And it is not the usual interview that asks the same questions over and over. I'm not suggesting you react to it in a video, of course. But I found it so interesting because the interviewer not only asks excellent questions, but gives Aurora all the time she needs to answer each one. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNyBd7aUutfZiXU.html

Oh... Hello! 😅 Thanks a lot for doing this reaction to Aurora. This happens to be one of my very favorite covers by her. And like you said, her hand movements and the subtle way she moves to the music makes everything THAT much more magic, as if her voice wasn't enough. That's what I call the complete package. And then we have her arrangements on top of that. Sweet Lord. I don't know about you, but I feel that I should go to the gym to increase my chances of getting 3-4 more decades of music from her (and Angelina😉) It would make all the heavy lifting and running on a treadmill all worth while. But I'm not too sure tho if either Aurora or Angelina would be the right choice of artists to listen to while working out tbh. I need some AC/DC or Metallica for that. LOL Seeing you and listening to you always brings a big smile to my face. Thank you for that. Take care my friend and I'll be "seeing" you shortly. ♥♥🔥

These performances are very theatrical and beautiful. She is very talented with great range and motion during her performance. But Angelina Jordan is on another level, a higher plane. Angelina is in a room in a house with just a piano or guitar in the background and she draws such emotion with her vocal Ability and delivery.
