Aurora is an introvert person, and her first 100-200 live performance was a nightmare for her. In the beginning of her career, she learned pi with hundreds of decimals, and she whispers pi silent for herself before every concert, to get her mind away. Fortunately, she is now comfortable with concerts, and she really love it. I agreed with kbakk1, if you see her singing for example "The seed" from the Lolapaloosa Brazil concert, you will see a girl that has the crowd in her hands.

I recently saw an interview where she compared writing music with having sex and singing/performing afterwards with having to care for an unexpected baby. Both things lovely, but a little more work with the baby 🤣 I assume you mean this version of the seed: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eJ59nZSp38DZqmw.html Posting links will reduce misunderstandings and increase your chances to get heard. Higly recommended for non-reactors: This fan-music-video is the same version, just with enhanced sound I think + incredibly fitting video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gJZ9pbyLvL68m6M.html Since it has imagery from disney, it's probably not a good idea to do reactions to, unfortunately.

iNsTaNtpUdDiNhEaD Thats true. Search for her song "Lucky". She was 9 when she wrote that song. Can you believe that? She started writing music when she was 6 and added lyrics when she was 9. She has written many of her songs when she was between 12-16.

Thing you have to understand about Aurora is this isn't a Job, Vocation, Hobbie, even a pleasure, she is made of musical energy, she doesn't perform, she resets to her natural form, existing outside of music is her performance.

Many times at the end of performing a song live, you will see a similarly disoriented expression come over her face, like someone waking up from dozing off. She’s literally returning to consciousness after totally immersing herself in the music, the lyrics and the story the song is telling. She’s an unusually extreme form of creative empath, and much has been written about that. Check it out. Murder 5-4-3-2-1 from the same concert would be a great next choice.

Yes. You'll see more of her "scaredness" and anything with just Odd Martin and Aurora is awesome. I think he has been great in translating down versions to only guitar. It's worth a study in itself. Maybe do double-reactions, one with only Odd Martin and one with full Band... ?

Nate, great song! I have seen people compare her to Björk, although I think she is carving out a niche of her own. I remember seeing a facebook livestream she did that I watched several months ago, although it had been out a year when I saw it, so I could only watch and not participate, but she seems like a really sweet girl. I must disagree with your interpretation of her look at the end, though. I think you're wrong and it's not terror. I feel she is not easily intimidated. I think she was still actually in character for the song. Try looking at it again from that perspective, and see if you don't agree with my interpretation. Also, regarding her movements and gestures, I remember someone suggesting that she might be on the spectrum (ASD), although I am not a clinician and I cannot really speak to that, although that might be consistent with the fact that she has said that she doesn't like to be touched, other than by her sisters or others close to her. She attributes those motions and gestures to her love of expressing herself through dance. And it might just be as simple as that. I do not really wish to spread unfounded rumors. Anyway, she is a remarkable young lady and a very interesting and talented performer. I look forward to your next reaction video to this young lady (although I also look forward patiently to your reaction to my suggestion!). 🙂

Her movements have more to do with comfort than anything else. You can basically watch the trajectory from her earliest songs until about 2017 when she becomes truly comfortable on stage. She used to just stand ramrod straight behind the mic and only nervous janky movements came from her hands and has evolved into who can barely remain still for 2 seconds on stage. The hand movements are still there, but the have been mostly smoothed out now. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure there is a reaction on this channel from the Nidarosdomen concert. If you compare the 2 it becomes even more evident.

You mentioned her eye contact and crowd engagement in the first video you did, which she is older in than here. She danced from the age of 6 to 16 (when her music career started), and that is where she probably learn crowd engagement. You can see her dance skills in her music videos of "Queendom," and "Apple Tree," which are both crazy good, and a much different vein of work. Someone else already said here that she wrote this at 11 years old, she said at the time she didn't really understand what it meant, and just put it away with other songs she had written. But years later when a friend of hers was killed in the Norway mass shooting she said she realized that's what the song was about. She has said similar things about other songs she wrote when she was young, so as a young child her brain was literally writing songs that she couldn't comprehend the meaning of. You should put on some interviews with her while you are doing something else, she is very interesting, and is far wiser than her years.

Thank you for your reaction to Aurora's 'Runaway', which is indeed a beautiful song, and all the more incredible when you know that she was just 11 years old when she wrote it. Aurora was 19 when she performed at this event, and she sang another two songs there too. One was a cover of the Oasis song, 'Half the World Away', which she recorded in 2015 for that year's Christmas advert for the John Lewis department store chain. The other was another of her own songs, 'Murder Song, 5,4,3,2,1,' which she performs an acoustic version of with her guitarist at the time, Odd Martin Skalnes. Murder Song is unusual, and well worth hearing. I would love if you would react to it. The link is here should you wish to do so. Many thanks. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rM5ghrqFu928qKs.html

Even more radio friendly. That being said, i highly recommend reacting to her very first TV performence. 17 years old, a young frightended innocent girl performing "Awakening" You mentioned her looking terryfied when she finished Runaway, but watching the end of her performence of Awakening, it really looks like shes coming out of a trance. Speaking of Lion King... She actually did soundtrack for Dumbo: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z5ujh7B5u62loXk.html This summer I accidently heard what I think was one of Norways best soul/rock-singers of the last 30 years, doing a cover of Auroras Running with the wolves. Unfortunately I was already moving away from the area in a boat, so I can't be sure, but reading the program afterwards, it was my best guess. Sounded great in any case and a bit surreal. So there's a musical challenge for you 😉 Listen to a few seconds of him ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qtanrdyQ1LrYgqM.html ) and then try try Aurora doing a stripped down version of her own song: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a9mbddWQnpzIgJc.html By the way, I don't think runaway is the most popular song of hers. Not by her most devoted fans at least, but it's a very good place to start gettin to know her.

Slava, Sometimes folks make statements in the negative as obvious "Clickbait" seems like you're one of them. Aurora is a trained professional dancer as well as a uniquely gifted stage presence and writer. Before you proceed with any more preposterous criticism check out her concert performances of Running With The Wolves, Warrior, and CONQUEROR. If none of that moves you...well, you probably won't like Nina Simone or Chuck Berry either.
