Aside from the fact that you just definitely need to listen to more of her, (especially if you already feel this way, she doesn’t have a song that isn’t truly breathtaking) but I think that the 2015 Nobel peace prize performance isn’t as emotional as this one but I like it more, and she truly feels the song with every part of her body. I once heard in an interview with her, she says that when she is singing, the universe is just coursing through her so strongly that she simply can’t help but move her entire body, but to let it out

First time I heard Aurora's voice was at the start of "Into The Unknown" from the movie Frozen 2. That's her background vocals. I've been hooked ever since. Story telling. Her eyes draw you into the story.

Whatever Aroura does is at the very least exceptional. Most do love her live performances as do I but her video's have been called "art", performance at Vevo and.... The thing is that Aurora never intended to be a singer performer...basically not on stage at all but she was always drawn to music. She taught herself to play piano when she found an old electric piano in the attic. She had to learn with just one hand. The on button wouldn't say "on" unless you actually held it down. So one hand held it down and the other one learned how to play it. She didn't start writting music/poems until she was 9 or 10 *when she became proficient in English". Around 10-yrs old is when she wrote most of Runnaway. She was still going to school and was given an assignment to write a paper which she forgot to do but at the last minute she wrote a song. When she had to stalk about "her project" so her teacher made her sing the song that she wrote. A kid recorded her and downloaded it on a social platform. It took and it went viral. So Agents approached her and she really didn't want to sign. Her mother said that if she tried singing and shared her music for a while but she didn't like it, she could quit. So with the right people Aurora quit school and learned "the business".....She was like a duck in water. She's a magical performer. She has had fun, funny was BTW she wrote most of "Runaway" at 10-11 yrs old and finished it a few years later. It has been said that she has over 1000 poems/songs written. Just about everything that you see, Aurora has her hands in it and no one can change her mind. P.S. Her interviews are hilarious. She is so engaged, direct, blunt and funny, yet she seems to be aware of everything around her.

Look into some of her live studio performances. The entire KEXP Iceland concert, all of the Vevo performances, It happened Quiet-Live at the current, and an extra special performance- A Different Kind of Human-Live at the Somewhere Else Fest (Not to be confused with Christines Radiofestival). The Somewhere Else Fest was filmed in an empty theater during the pandemic as a beacon of hope for the people stuck in their homes. It's one of the most beautiful/emotional things I've ever seen.

You've gotten a lot of amazing recommendations so far for Aurora (I mean honestly, she is not from this world), but if you want an emotional song you should do yourself a favor and listen to Helvegen from Wardruna featuring Aurora--even if you don't film a reaction, just listen to it. It's live. So Wardruna did a lot of the music for the Vikings series, they have this song which is about sending off the departed to the afterlife, and maybe it's just me but I discovered this song right around when someone very dear to me (and himself a viking in his own way, we did re-enactments) passed and to me Aurora was singing the sounds my heart was making. Aurora is going to be considered, If she isn't already, a MAJOR icon for so many reasons, one namely she is unapologetically herself even with the music business machine. If Yu watch some of the documentaries where Yu see her in the planning phases of her albums with her agent, Yu see why she wins. She , I can tell, is not a fan of being told HOW to present or in what order the things SHE creates. In the beginning of her career she wasn't sure she wanted to be a famous artist. It was by pure accident that she became this as a friend , without her permission, posted her singing an original song online...she was then contacted by an agent whom she said to, NO. But her mom told her she was special and her music could heal people, change the world for better, she she did. She began writing melodies at age 6 after teaching herself to play the piano and then by 9 the lyrics came. She, in my opinion, is a prodigy, because she is self taught. What a voice to just have, by birth really. Also, she is such a quick study in the sense of doing covers, check out her cover of Massive Attack's Tear Drop in Like a Version. They, she and her band,only practiced that for approx one hour before performance and it's outstanding. So look at her live covers. Another is the Across the Universe she did at the same studio, different time. I really like her music...heals me, Very much enjoy yours as well, will embark more...I see a collaboration in the midst I hope.
