Aurora has always been an advocate for nature (she grew up in a forest). Look at the area around the city she's leaving...waste and desolation...no life. The wires attached to her that lead back to the city symbolize our ties to technology-cell phones and social media and things we think connect us. She wants to run with the wolves and be wild and be alive in nature, not trapped and tied to a dead concrete jungle. She rips the wires out with her teeth the way an animal will gnaw off its own leg to free itself from a trap. Finally free of her bonds, she runs to the safety and comfort of nature, and we see how small she is compared to its awsome splendor, even as she wades into the water and acknowledges that she it part of it. Brilliant. Intelligent. Amazing.

I just in general dislike the constant hatred of technology and cities. Tech is not to blame. The systems abusing tech are to blame. This is like hating knives and hammers because they can be shaped into tools for war. It’s beyond ridiculous. Nature is not any kinder then cities. In case you forgot, animals eat people. Obviously we have to get far more in balance with nature in order to even survive. But this return to the old ways stuff is absolutely bullshit. We left the old ways for a reason. It’s not better. We just need to actually make cities human friendly. They only serve to benefit capitalism right now. Not humanity.

@@Myke_thehuman I think she's objecting to the overabundance of technology and how it can clutter our lives and make us dependent upon it...that dependence in turn trapping us. There's also no denying that urbanization takes a damaging tole on nature...the water table..the ecosystem...wildlife habitat...not to mention the polution created. I believe that that's the comparison she's trying to make...the difference between gray concrete and green trees, and how she feels safer in the openness of nature than in the crowd of a city.

Artistic Aurora, yes, that's her. So she's great live, Murder Song from the 2015 Nobel Peace Price Concert is super artistic, dark, deep and awesome. Other very artistic videos are Winter Bird, I Went too Far (award winner), the Seed (super powerful song) and Queendom, just to mention a few. A breath of fresh air? Oh, yes - always. Just please don't wait too long.

This was the theme song for a series for teens I used to watch on tv (barely watched it lol) and I fell in love with it, I heard this so many times for many years, and only now, watching this video, those things she has attached to her... I only now understood what it was, and the meaning of the song.. it legit felt like those moments in movies where it sinks in or something just clicks, and it brought me back to all my fears and feelings I wish could erase and been trying to forget, and I just started bawling my eyes out. This is the first time something like this happened to me.. All the happy memories this song brings back just makes the emotion even stronger.. I know no one could undertsand what I'm feeling rn but I just felt like commenting it

Aurora is amazing!!! And a true artist in every way. She says she had no intention to be an artist but I think this is what she was meant to do. You need to react to her live performances, it’s otherworldly. I’d suggest Murder Song live at Nobel Peace Prize and Lucky live at Nidarosdomen. If you want to instead check out her music videos two of her best are I Went Too Far and The River.

Oh man i love your guy's reaction to Aurora so much because unlike other reactors, you guys actually watch her amazing music videos. I always feel like the people that just don't watch the music videos are missing out on the thrill kind of that she can give because her music is amazing, and her film that she creates with it is extra special i think. I'm so glad you reacted to this one as well. For a fan of Aurora i can never really ever come to a conclusion with what is my number 1 favorite song but i feel like all along I've always been drawn to Running with The wolves. But again, thank you for this reaction. I saw someone in the comments say to react to "I went to far". I can agree that that one should really be reacted to. ( Winter bird is also amazing 💫🌊🌬️)

Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction! You should react to the music video for her powerful environmental anthem 'The Seed!' And AURORA is not to be missed live -- for instance, her highly energetic KEXP performance in Iceland (with Bjork in the audience), where she sings "Churchyard" and "All is Soft Inside”; as well as the Nidarosdomen Concert (in a cathedral with orchestral ensemble and choir), particularly the songs "It Happened Quiet," "Through the Eyes of a Child," "Little Boy in the Grass" and "Lucky."

This is a very artistic video indeed. Aurora never disappoints with her superb voice quality and musicality. The title of the song reminds me of a literary piece I read once which is entitled the 'Women who run with Wolves.' It's interesting how Albert mentioned that the twines that she was entangled with represents her inability to separate herself from society as that was one of the revolving themes of the book I have read. In essence, overcivilization, in this case her inability to free her self from society, cause death to the soul, represented by the last scene where she ran to a lake where she dived into. The car represents the constant and ever enduring force that society has which constantly chase each of us. It is important existentially how once should learn to separate from society to maintain one's intrinsic affinity to self while looking into kindred souls that would make one's pack. This song really excited me as it represents an existentialist/ jungian repertoire that, as Cynthia mentioned, is a rarity in todays music. Wonderful reaction as always guys!

I rarely recommend other than Aurora, but If you promise to keep on with Aurora 🤪 you should definitely check out Kalandra live with the song Brave new World. Kalandra is a Norwegian band with several really good songs. For next Aurora (you have only seen the upper tip of the Aurora iceberg, just a matter of time before you need to make a playlist for her 😉) and since you have started on her first album I would recommend Conqueror live at Jimmy fallon or Lucky at the Nidarosdomen.

But, to really get who Aurora is and to get an emotional impact like from no other artist, you must see her live performances.
