I was in your exact same position when I first listened to bladee and many others will probably say the same - but If you find it intriguing you will come back to it and eventually start to like it more and more, at least that was the case for me. If you’re looking for where to go next, working on dying or Icedancer is probably your best bet, but really it just takes time to warm up to his unique sound. Much love from a fellow Aussie 🇦🇺

Whitearmor (one of his producers) and him definitely influenced the rage sound, also your audio gets super messed up near the end. Id recommend working on dying which is a 2017 mixtape by him and i think you might enjoy it to a certain extent.

Definitely very childlike and positive, but there's a lot of nuance, religious symbolism, and idealism to it as well. I think he tries to deify existence through his music and abstractions. Ever since Exeter, his first album to showcase this stylistic shift from the drugged out nihilism of his earlier music, Bladee's been building a conceptual architecture of belief and beauty. It's pretty good stuff man, but it's definitely odd at first listen. You may want to check out 333 and Crest. I think they're better at showcasing the depth and wisdom underlying the childlike wonder and simplicity.

I didn't get it at all on first listen either, but this one is really good, especially the second half btw gluee remains the peak to me Apologise for the WOT, I didn't even mean to write ALL this OhmahGawwd Btw I don't know if you'll gonna get it eventually, I'm not going to pretend everyone has too, but one thing I know for sure, it's not immediate, but once you let the sound sink in a bit, you might "eventually" start loving it Bladee is not easy to get into honestly, I'm currently In my drain period as of now I'm listening to the rest of his albums/mixtapes and all of drain gang I missed out over the years, and now that I "get it" it's definitely a lot easier to listen That said there are hits and miss in their catalogue for sure, but I feel like they made more hits One last thing that might quite literally make my entire comment useless my first experience with bladee was Gluee, I don't know why I loved it on first listen Even though a lot of people say, it's one of the weirdest one, to me the production is really fascinating, hypnotizing really also being the last album I listened to before the shittiest moment of my life began +Covid, and one of the first listens with my new headphones I know regard it as one of the best albums I ever listened to Add that to the list .... no kidding I literally had a lucid dream with it

Eversince to Redlight is a much different bladee you might like, Working on Dying specifically might hit the sweet spot. His music makes much more sense once you explore his story and evolution through his music since he is notoriosly quite cryptic otherwise
