First wicket on 68 and team wrapped up for 124 jeez. I remember an ODI match. Aus Vs WI while pointing was the cap windies were chasing 340+ gayle and chanderpaul were openers first wicket fell on 171-1 and team folded for 189-10. Aussies are in search of window once you give them. They will hammer you away. I like their approach 👍

This was a very impressive performance from the Aussies, even when their best batsmen were not really at their best. Green and Boland were brilliant additions, and the return of Khawaja and Head has added so much strength to the squad. Hard to imagine how terrifying this batting unit would be when Smith, Labuschagne and Warner are at their real best.
@timblizzard4226
@timblizzard4226 2 жыл бұрын
Thats what impressed me most about this squad; 4 years ago or so, if we won a series like this it was because Smith and Warner were averaging 100, because the rest of the batters would be averaging 15. To be fair I thought Labuschagne played pretty well; those were tough wickets to bat on and he still made runs and soaked up a fair amount of new ball deliveries.

Boland hasn't cemented a spot. In fact except Cummins anyone is not cemented a spot maybe lyon too has cemented his spot. Next is Hazlewood and Boland and starc and jhye. Hazlewood and Boland are similar bowlers so they would only go with one of them until there is an injury. Starc and jhye are x factor bowlers so again any one of them. Tooo hard to choose. Hazlewood and starc are much experienced but bolands spells are too good not to leave him. Boland and Hazlewood would be very effective in flat pitches compared to other bowlers including pat.

Batting wise i would take Ricky Ponting side any day plus Shane Warne in the spin dept no this side doesn't match up to Ricky Ponting side. Plus having watched The whole series i am afraid that Mark Wood short pitched bowling when he got it right was not very comfortable for nearly all of the Aussies while Ricky Ponting and Mathew Hayden were superb at it I should know how are Shoaiib Akhtar bowled but then i might be wrong but that is my opinion

@@zafarhussain4848 Yeah Ponting's side was better in the batting, Steve Waugh's even more so, but this bowling attack is unbeleivable. Dont underestimate Nathan Lion; he has over 400 test wickets. I'm pretty sure he goes for less runs than Warne. He's the best off spinner Australia has ever produced. If Australia can sort out the openeners and Green finds his rightful form with the bat India will have a real contender on their hands.

Congratulations to Australia for a very handsome victory considering the match situation when England were 0-68. It's especially promising too see how evenly spread the wickets are amongst the bowlers. Green & Bowland have been the most exciting prospects for Australia moving forward. England have had a tough tour but people shouldn't kick them while they're down. Sometimes you have to sift through the negatives to find the positives. Root, Crawley, Wood, Broad, Bairstow & Anderson were all competent players this tour & England proved they can get on top in match performance as seen in this game. Take away the positives no matter how slim & use those positives as a platform to build on for your next test series. A new coach would be a start & maybe take captaincy pressure off Root so he can play without too much burden. Good luck England & thank you for a wonderful test match series.

boland isn't an exiting prospect, he is 32 years old. I know that boland had a good series but I hope they don't play him again considering he isn't the future of australia and isn't as good as cummins, hazlewood and stark. sadly for Bolland is on the wrong side of 30, a good short-term prospect, but not for the long term. meanwhile, we have Cam Green and Jhye Richardson who are at the right age, with Cam Green being a future captain of the team, give him a few more years and he could potentially be one of the best players in the world, he needs to keep improving and keep bowling at the level he exhibited this series.

Green,, Cummins,, Starc,, Boland one after another are amazing...absolutely stunning performance by bowlers... approximately one and half hour they takes and show what Australia can do... awesome,, unbelievable,, amazing....this team is going to World's best team... Travis Head,, Steve Smith,, Khawaja,, Warner,, Mitchell Marsh,, Green,, Carey a strong batting side and Cummins,, Starc,, Boland,, Lyon,, Green,, Smith in bowling... nothing is compared with this strong team.... batting,, bowling,, fielding all departments are mind blowing... Australia has done an impossible job... England has nothing to do...just surrender to Australia... Justin Langer makes his team a world class... each and every player is a jewel... Australia deserves a great bow... Ashes goes to right hand... it's a big win just after winning World Cup in T20... I am very happy today...my team,,my love Australia... I wish a very good luck for next Pakistan series...play well Aussies just like now... God bless you all... love you all Aussies.

You might say Green's bowling was better, because England's batting currently weaker. But see how Cummins used Green as a proper bowler, and Green's bowling was outstanding too
