Here in the UK, we regard Greggs as a bit of a National Institution. As far as I'm aware, they don't operate anywhere else apart from the UK, and we feel quite emotional about Greggs, as our own. I've also heard loads of people down the years tell me what lovely and friendly staff work at all the Greggs outlets, so it's always a pleasure to pop in to our local Greggs, and the prices are also very reasonable too, which always helps. 🙋‍♂ Really glad you loved most of them too!

I go back to the UK a few times a year, mainly for Greggs lol.

The yum yum dessert at Gregg's is called a twist in The Bahamas. They're sold at bakeries and school tuck shops where they also serve other baked goods. It was one of my faves as a kid.

As a current greggs team member I have served customers from all over the world 🌎, either from Germany, Ireland, Iran, USA and Australia, I meet alot of interesting people in my line of work

theres a place called cooplands up in Yorkshire that is a tier above Greggs but there is only stores up north unfortunately.

You could literally find a bakery in Aus with anything better than this on a way to or from school. In a main city at least.

Aussie meat pies are amazing. Gregg's actually do the best chick poppers. I was so surprised.

It's all about the vegan sausage roll and the caramel custard doughnut for me 😋 I think the pastry on the vegan sausage roll gives it away before you even get to the filling though. No egg I imagine.

Colin Gregg who's the son of the Greggs bakery founder and who played a big part in building up the Greggs empire has had his 13 1/2 yr jail sentence{sentenced in 2017 for abusing 4 boys 11 -14 over a period of almost 40yrs} reduced to 8 1/2 yrs .So as of now he could be out in approx 3.

In all honesty, Greggs isn't what it used to be for sure. It's more of a mass production line now. I remember, back in 2010-2015, everything was way way better then i dunno what happened.

Greggs does well in the UK because a large proportion of it’s population would eat the dog sh*t off their own shoe rather than prepare something themselves. They’d probably enjoy it too, given the lack of any discernible pallet.
