As long as Epic keeps on updating and improving competitive and movement this chapter is looking like a positive, obviously weve had better startings to chapters and there is alot to get used to but i think as long as we keep improving we should be chilling.

Tbh, if they revert the movement, I would LOVE this new season. The biggest thing is that there’s a SIMPLE loot pool. Chapter 4 sucked cause the loot pool was way too convoluted, and also the map sucked. But with the new chapter, I think fortnite is officially back!

i promise you if they made creative have the movement in br and we could actually get used to it while free building/ piecing then it wouldnt be so bad. after the recent movement speed buff the game feels a lot more fluid and ive climbed consistently now to champion

Nah he retired like 3 months ago I think. He retires like a month before og fortnite and honestly he had carpal tunnel so even if he came back it would be tough for him to grind and get good again because he wouldn’t be able to put the hours in because of his carpal tunnel.

he said it himself... more people were playing OG than chapter 5 BR. You 100% have to discount the other game modes this chapter because the variety is incomparable. but directly comparing player numbers in both ch5 and OG... OG wins. This is also excluding other statistics like player retention and enjoyment (where personally i think OG wins out in that category because currently everyone cannot stop complaining about movement and weapon mods)

But wait, lego fortnite and the rocket racing gamemode are stand alone gamemodes that can be in any season and any chapter. So yes we can to 100% discount that from the chapter 5. And sure you can discount every single creative mode from this season and og season as well and only count the players in BR, Ranked BR, Zero Build and Ranked Zero Build. And lets measure that. I am speaking for anyone else but me but i think that the battle royale modes where more popular in the OG season than now.

Welcome to Fort of Duty. For me, chapter 5 is worse/as bad as primal season. It's the graphics and the medallions that p*ss me off. Doesn't look like fortnite, and even if it had the same graphics as always, medallions make players not explore the map and drop in these 5 tilted towers remake... And these pois on top have mythics and bench weapon mods. From what i've noticed Og fn had 1.2 m minmun players in br builds. Yesterday it had only 670k. So all I found where bots (not fun at all), or golike players loaded on top with medallions, mythics and full attatchments. Sorry for the rant, but had to get it off my chest. Don't want to contradict players who enjoy it, but personally I don't. Thx 4 reading

Well, it's understandable that some people might like it. First I was sketchy with the movement, but for me the worst change was the ones I mentioned. Especially the graphics. cuz the cartoonish ones made me remember of fun games like crash bandicoot or old school gems, making me have a lot of fun. These new ones are not as appealing and don't give me those fun/bandicoot vibes. When I want somthin more realistic I usually go to cs 2 or any other game. So now I'm really not motivated to play realistic forntite.

@@dytCeleritynah not at all, loot pool and POI’s made OG good. If it was just sheer nostalgia everyone would have quit after the first week. It stood strong for the whole month. Only started to get stale with GL spam. Game has to adapt for sure but this season just isn’t it. 30+ NPC’s on the map, OP healing items, Movement is trash, and they fundamentally changed how bullets work. There’s drop and lead on every gun now lmao. Like I’m all for changes but Epic couldn’t have 180’d harder after a nearly universally praised OG season.

@@dytCelerity brotha it’s a cartoon game where you build structures from thin air… who tf is saying there needs to be realism in fortnite go play warzone if that’s what you’re looking for. And as for adding things. 100% down for new things just not THESE new things. Add new weapons, add new utility items, add new POIs but make them feel balanced and fun like when they brought the inflata-bulls into the game, it was a fun balanced item. Or most of the items they added in chapter 1. Most were fun and balanced for the most part. Change is good. But only when the changes are GOOD. These are bad.

2 mill in battle royale. This “peak player count” is only being achieved because Lego, Rocket League, and Festival modes are out. Remove those and you might be able to reach 3 million concurrent players which is what OG had for most of the season with ONLY having BR and creative available. CH 5 has essentially 4 epic endorsed games and creative. This season is getting carried so hard by collabs and new game modes.
