Holy, how could Don not getting 10+ nest of bees at that late game period, he just suicided his army with feeding low tier units and single nest of bees one by one. He could easily defeat that english army with some high quality handcannoners+grenadiers on walls +knights in the front + several nobs shooting from the back, or simply mass palace guards + spearmen + 10-20 nobs, very easily.

When Lucifron died Divine had more than 5 times the resources Don artie had, and also English the civ with the best imperial. The game was pretty much over but props to don artie for trying, amazing game!

If he used the army to contest center, it wasnt over at all. It was only when the army died without buying any time the game was decided

Don wasted a bunch of vills/didn't train any for a long time, or could have trade boomed with his 100 surplus pop space. Plus, his advantageous keep position around the sacred site.

Don would have won easily if he sat on the sacred site. He had the pop just need 10 or 20 NOB and easy win. But that was an amazing defense from Divine. Amazing defense when Don came for the king for the 1st time.

absolute banger game, and the new rules seem to be adding a lot to the match. I might have liked to see the middle come into play a bit more, I think you can set custom values for resource nodes so maybe adding a couple of crazy high capacity small gold veins (like 99999999 or something), that you can take over in addition to the SS? this would make moving towards the center highly rewarding, but also make you a target, and while building up to have a firm position towards those rich resources could pay off greatly, it could also make you too vulnerable at home and you could certainly be punished for flying too close to the sun. just a thought though, the match was absolutely excellent.

That just makes this another King of the Hill. I think not having any resources in the middle helped a lot with keeping the action focused between neighbouring players

@@shadowyking123 nah this isn't accurate in the slightest. king of the hill is a heavily fortified middle position, with an easily defensible home base. this map is completely open, designed for nomad, and "keeping the action focused between neighboring players" is how you end up with results like the person who gets ignored the longest turtles up and farms up a huge bank while his neighbors die, like happened in this game.

Divine should've attacked Don Arte's base when Don got the sacred. Focusing on the sacred site helped Don by allowing him to clean up Lucifron. If Divine would've put pressure on Don's base, that would've freed Lucifron up to cap the site.
