A couple of wololoos on the site in those final 36 seconds might have cleared the site enough to win. Imagine those palace guards being able to charge the bombards after a conversion.

Yeah, 36 seconds on timer, just a couple mistakes to fix and he would've had it. The delay at the start when he moved the villagers building the wall, and using relics at the end would've made it a fairly decisive win I think

I kept shouting at the screen to move one of your relics over to Elzbach since it has better weaponry than your outposts (especially the springald ones). I don't think it would've made that much of a difference here, but would further reinforce your position.

I think a big reason why it worked so well the first time is your king was in the tc (outside the walls protecting the sacred site) and they were going for that, then you popped the king into the elzbach when you realized. That bought you alot of time

I'm so behind. I didn't realize that the sacred victory timer actually DOES pause if there are any enemy units on the sacred site, regardless of whether you have your own units on it. They evidently changed that when the Sultans Ascend was released.

i think its understandable to sometimes get sussed by teamming, but that was blatantly obvious they were not "in a discord" at any point . Kinda lame you even felt the need to check match history bro :/
