I'm finding the chaos of FFA more exciting than the finessing of elite 1v1 players. It felt like Gandalf didn't exploit that Sacred Site decap, by retreating to his base to rebuild he made another harder SS inevitable. With hindsight, he prob. would have found it easier building a forward base as a foothold near the SS, rather than having to fight through the choke over again.

I loved playing FFA in the beginning. But, the more you play the more you get annoyed by all the weaknesses. E.g. king donations. Though, I think it is the best mode in order to test, learn and practice civs outside of simple bos! You learn fast & a lot, especially castle age and late game. You literally get up to 7 matchups at once. Still, it lacks feudal gameplay.

I love FFA, it was all I played before this update. However I'm done with FFA, these games while I enjoy Aussie casting and playing them, the maps are awful, the changes they made to MR with the decrease in recourses, the location of SS and high probability of them locates all in the center and the even higher probability of there just being 1 SS. Along with the bulk of all resources on the map being in the center of the map even with it being MR. they took a beautiful and amazing game mode and took a dump on it and said here, play this instead.

I am wining so I will say it is a good change .obviously there is less wonder in ffa now .stone and keeps is lesser .even deers and boar are less in the edge of the map

@@Spyro5500 Mega Random, the map that is played on. When making custom games before the update if the FFA quick match you would put MR in the custom game name to let others now the map

Hey Drongo.. do you think you could occasionally mix in the good old 1v1 casted games? Not sure how the rest of the audience feels about it but to me watching FFAs is just not as fun. I miss the deep analysis of equal opportunity, 99% skill based games, where every small decision matters - as opposed to heavily luck/spawn-influenced FFAs with cheesy strategies and king snipes. Don't get me wrong the FFA mayhem is entertaining (and does require skill) but I do miss casts of the real AoEIV e-sport, the modern chess, which this is.. not.

imho, the game requires much better initial positioning, half of the map is empty
