Masters of the Air is indeed fantastic and I would put it up there with Band of Brothers and Pacific for realism. Once you see the bombers get shot up, you really wonder how they climbed back into it each day for their bombing runs but they did and most did not return. Phenomenal show and we got the channel just to watch that single show.

Masters of the Air is kind of terrible. You like those highlights in his hair in the 1940s? Bad CGI, bland story telling and dialogue, actors that come across more like posing and playing pretend than actually acting and committing etc etc. Has some qualities but pales so far from Band of Brothers and Pacific, far from an essential show.

I don’t know him so I can’t say, but he seems like the type of guy who things come to him kind of naturally, he’s a quick learner, but he also hyper fixate on things so he seems to get really good at stuff really fast I brothers like that it’s annoying lol

Even when I watch movies and they turn out to be disappointments, watching these type of behind the scenes videos of the actors training for the role or the set designers or the composers write the music help me appreciate a mediocre film that I thought would’ve been great or good. Me saying this is because if they do a heat two and it doesn’t turn out to be good just seeing Austin Butler train like this gets me pumped for the project and just shows how much dedication they take for their work and makes me enjoy the film when watching it even more. Not to say it should make a bad movie go from a 5/10 to a 9/10 but it does help me enjoy the experience more knowing that. Just wanted to share this really long comment. 😂
