I began investing in stocks and Def earlier this year, and it is the best choice I've ever made. My portfolio is rounding up to almost a million and I have realized that when a stock makes it to the news, chances are you're quite late to the party, the idea is to get in early on blue chips before it becomes public. There are lots of life changing opportunities in the market, and maximize it.

I didn’t take it the way that most would. The way I understood Austin rivers’ comment was it was more likely for an NBA player to go to the NFL and be successful (Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzales, Charlie Ward) than an NFL player to go to the NBA and be successful. Not that it’s “easy” just more likely one way than the other.

Because of skill and height. NFL has the best pure athletes. It’s like saying you can’t take a single NBA player and put them on the PGA tour. NBA players are better pure athletes compared to golfers, but it takes 10 times as much skill to play golf as it does to play pro basketball.

im a fan of both sports but love football way more and actually played football and i would have to say it would be harder to transfer a football player to basketball than it is vice versa. The challenges a NBA player would face wouldn't be as hard as the challenges a NFL player would face honestly. A NFL player would first have to develop the conditioning of maybe running full sprint no breaks for maybe 2 minutes straight at times on fastbreaks. There is no ok play over reset get a quick breather and maybe the next play call doesn't call for you to use exude so much energy if your say a WR on a run call. Then being able to have the skill to stay in front of some of the fastest and shiftiest guys ever without being able to touch them physically to slow them down. Then having the composure to take pressured shot after shot with the crazy range of heights and speeds and strengths to deal with. The skill part alone is a lot. Now for a NBA player the hardest part would be developing the physical and mental toughness of being in excruciating pain and get right back up and do it again over and over and over. It's not as simple as catch a ball and run but from a skill standpoint there are positions in football that doesn't require too much skill as in basketball. Some just require more physical strength and mental and physical toughness. In the NBA positions 1-5 requires a tremendous amount of skill that and making things that is almost humanly impossible part of your everyday life.

Huge difference between NBA & NFL HAS to be talked about that in NFL you only have to be great or good at certain parts to the game. Like an offensive lineman is not playing QB or getting hand offs or catching passes or chasing down WRs to tackle them. Speedsters are not blocking on the line, QBs are not tackling. In the NBA yes there are more skilled and more athletic players than others BUT they all have to play offense & defense. They have to switch and guard different sizes, they all have to be able to pass & dribble & score at a certain skill level so far more complexed. Contrast to that am NBA player only needs to go to NFL and learn 1 position like TE or WR and trust me there are few big boys that could play on D - Line & linebacker.... Lebron at TE killing it. Ja or Westbrook or other flash type guys at 6'0 - 6'4 WR all day or kick off returners. All these dudes and catch and run just need to learn routes, but Visa versa the NFL dudes gotta have handles & be able to shoot a variety of shots and understand on ball off ball & help rotations on Defense.....whole different animal. Because of that learning & skill curve much much bigger to transition to NBA.

450 jobs in the NBA- to say that everyone is too soft to get tackled as if none of them ever played football is just lazy. On the other hand, NFL players arent good enough at BASKETBALL to compete with G league players or Euroleague players. Theres countless D1 basketball players who had crazy statistical production in college and dont get drafted or even invited to a training camp. NFL teams sign track guys, rugby players, and basketball players who have no high level football experience. Size and raw athleticism can take you much farther in the NFL than the NBA

The problem is Austin is overlooking the mentality you have to have to play the sport let alone in the league. From a physical perspective the average basketball player is more rare than the average football player. You see more 6’2 220 people than you see 6’6 210 people however we are overlooking the physicality, mentality, and technique that goes into football…but sure there are more players in the nba that look like football players. But to assume they can actually play is disrespectful

Like someone else said in the comments, all these nba analysts out here saying nba players cant play in the 90s and 80s because of how physical the nba was back then yet you have clowns like rivers thinking theyd survive in the nfl 😂. You literally have nba players getting injured and sitting out games from just jumping the wrong way or from just getting grazed across the eyes. Theyd get folded in the nfl.

23:33 pro tip for anyone in the market to get floor seats: sitting next to/behind the bench is cool and all, but the players and coaches will literally block your view for half of the game. far side or under the basket is the way to go imo

Austin Rivers is 100% correct. There are easily 30 NBA players that can get on the NFL field and play. I guarantee you 100% of them wouldn't finish a quarter. As the wise Iron Mike once said, "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” As James Jones said, a top 10 pick whose career avg is 8/2/2, seven teams in 11 years, a bench player for the majority of his career, dude is a bust who's trying to stay relevant by making asinine comments. Or as JJ Watt pointed out, he's 31 years old without no job in either league.
